The day that everything changed. A self-para about Zoe Hawkins on June 1, 2026.
This self-para contains graphic imagery that might be triggering. There are scenes of gunfire, hospital imagery, injury imagery, and violence. @wyattxwheeler and @dakotawhawkins are mentioned.
ghostsandmirrors asked: one muse tends to the other’s injury (bucky and anastasiya? 👀 I was imagining bucky tending but it's up to you)
ADRENALINE COURSED THROUGH the body quickly, going into shock. blood blooming from the wound on her shoulder in a rapid flow. It had been a long time since Anastasiya had taken a bullet, and now all those memories of her time in H.E.A.V.E.N surged to the forefront of her mind. She'd only been a young agent when she'd received her first wound from a point-forty-five caliber. This was a little more extreme, however.
She was supposed to be free from the mess of that place, supposed to be living a peaceful life. Getting a sniper round to her collar, however, was far from it. Now, she lay on the ground, her body beginning to shake slightly from the shock while she tried her best to control her breathing. Her blood had slowly begun to pool out beneath her ~ a through-and-through, at least ~ She had not expected anyone to come to her aid so quickly, but within a blink ( perhaps it was more a closing of the eyes for several moments ) Bucky was there.
She had not wanted him to find her in a position like this. She knew of his past as much as he did hers. They were two peas in a pod on that level. Both of them shared similar trauma, and she knew that a gunshot wound would not help his memories from getting triggered. " Нет, нет... нет... Баки... " Her hand lifted, painted red from where she'd instinctively put it against her wound, attempting to reach for him, to hold on to him, but she was fighting a battle she knew that she was losing as she continued to lose blood. Her lips muttered incoherently, her eyes growing heavy. She knew that in moments, her consciousness would be lost. " Buc...ky... " Her hand slowly began to fall down his arm, breaths growing more and more laboured. " Я не хочу умирать "

"I'm not lying to you, Meagan. Your mom is going to be fine. It wasn't as bad as it sounds." Not as bad as it was when Lou had had his throat slashed anyway, that was for sure. Still, a bullet wound was a bullet wound and he knew that Meagan was likely worried about Elaine and her safety. "She's going to be fine. Just needs some stitches and likely some rest for a few days. I just wanted to warn you about what happened before you went to see her because there was quite a lot of blood and I didn't want you freaking out when you saw her."
@thinkitsforever asked: you don't have to lie to me.
I saw gunshot wounds today, whoa!
(🦾) Sarah has nerve damage in her upper left arm from where the ‘liquid metal’ Terminator impaled her straight through the limb.
Although it was properly treated (by herself, because she had enough medical knowledge on how to care for it, at least), it still gives her trouble sometimes. It will ache and cause weakness in the shoulder area and gives out when overused, much to Sarah’s frustration.
She also has a scar on her left lower thigh from being shot by the same Terminator, but this one doesn’t give her trouble.
Additionally, there will always be mental scars.
Sarah still occasionally has nightmares involving the city being destroyed, like the second movie showed briefly, or, more commonly, of John being violently killed in various ways by the second film’s enemy Terminator.
Might add to this when I’m not so tired later on… but here’s my headcanon for the night. :)
@retriibutions asked: " that's a lot of blood. " / dexter to doakes
“Yeah, NO FUCKING SHIT, Morgan,” Doakes growled, rage mixing with the searing pain in his shoulder. He’d been SHOT by the motherfucking suspect; the other officers were chasing him now, but Doakes was on the ground, palm pressed to his throbbing shoulder, teeth gritted and bared. And god dammit, he KNEW he was losing blood, which might be making him delirious, but the way Dexter was looking at the blood, the way he was hardly even REACTING…
“Get me some help, you… you fuckin’ PSYCHO.”
@imprvdente (continued from here)
Un-FUCKING-believable.
“You GUESS?” Strahm’s voice was furious, fists clenching at his sides, nails digging sharply into his palms as he tried to control his rage. “You fucking GUESS you got shot? How many times do I have to tell you to be more CAREFUL?!?”
And then, she doubled over, and Strahm reacted instinctively, grabbing her by the shoulders before she could stumble too far off-balance.
“Okay… okay.” It was almost like a cliché, how quickly his tone changed from pissed off to concerned. One hand left her shoulder, going to his belt, pulling out his radio. “This is Agent Strahm. Agent Monet’s been shot. SEND BACKUP NOW.”
With his other hand, he kept a firm grip on his shoulder, looking into her eyes. “Look at me. Just keep looking at me, okay? Keep your hand there. You’re gonna be okay.”
