Writing the part where YOU as an author knows is your character's downfall out of glory but THEY don't know that, hurts more than I realized.

Thank you for the ask, I am happy to answer!! I want to say yes SO, SO BAD!! 😭😭😭 but, alas, I can't! It's more of a metaphor for how MEchanic feels a majority of the fic lol 🤣 (im so sorry!!)

Drabble thing under the cut 💖💖💖 fluff/cute

In a perfect world where YN didn't come into the picture, at some point I think MEchanic would want to give them something to hold whenever Sun or Moon missed them. Something they could truly own. Something TECHNICALLY FazCo property.

After hours or maybe even days of scouring YouTube and every sewing blog you could find and harnessing your pitiful sewing skills, you'd sacrifice a couple of your less stained uniforms for your hopefully endearing gift. You would wash them first of course, couldn't give your loves something that smells like old cheese and oil! You do that enough on your own.

You painstakingly, wobbly even though you're an exact cut on metal and wires, trace and cut out the little patterns you've found online. You shakily sew the pieces of fabric together, missing some steps along the way and annoying yourself when you have to go back. You wanted perfect, not 'with character'.

They are ecstatic to receive such a gift, to say the least. Sun does cartwheels and spins you around so hard your shoes almost fly off. Moon rocks it and pretends it is your fanchild.

At the end of the night, however, long after you have left, they still carry the plush around with them. Sun packs it in the crook of his arm while flittering around the Daycare and indulging himself with a tea party up in their bedroom, putting a plastic tiara on Mechanic Jr. and giggling to himself as he pours imaginary tea.

Moon packs it around in his chest compartment while on patrol, feeling it thump against his inner frame as he goes from the ground, to the air and along the walls.

He deadpan tells Vanessa he's pregnant when she asks what the noise is.

She doesn't ever ask him again.

(but, yn does come around and you my friend, are as good as chopped liver- for now 😏)

Just an idea I've had in my head for a while. Human's Touch is a big inspo for my dca au, if you look at it like the human is craving the robots touch. Just trying to sharpen my digital art skills. Obviously I don't draw backgrounds.

I hate MEchanic plush's face, and I gave them a hat so I didn't leave them bald or give them hair.

I wanted to write a shorter chapter so it will be easier to digest so to speak for Gut Wrenched, but its already hovering at 12k and they haven't done anything for the plot besides bitched around and a majority of that was Moon instead of Sun

Also, it is fat and plentiful with angst. There will be no rest, except for Sun's segment (or whatever you call them) which is ironic since he was the Trademark Prick in the last chapter

Im still hung up on how we woke up and our interaction with vanessa. WHAT THE HECK

The Vanessa thing, that's one thing that'll be explained in later chapters (she's not the hateful ass she seems, she DOES mean well)

I can explain your "sleepwalking habit" here though!!!!!!

Maybe it's the nearly expired cheese on the Nauseous Nachos from Monty Golf that makes you sleepwalk. Maybe you're just tired.

Maybe you're SO tired you miss the navy colored hands picking you up and holding you close. Maybe he, RESPECTFULLY, WITHOUT PEEPING A LOOK, puts you in your sleep clothes and lays out your new work uniform because he knows how tired you are and what a time saver it is going to be for your tired ass in the morning. Maybe you're so sleepy you don't feel the widdle forehead kiss he gives you as he tucks you in and bombards you with all of the plush that looks like him, in some weird, strange, odd territorial claim.

The Sun plush being low key strung everywhere and tortured is bc Moon is a little shit and yes of course he's going to throw them away from you. He's also going to have some funsies arranging them in ways Sun hates and best believe Moon's making him watch the whole time as he 1) messes up your already FILTHY workspace/living area 2) puts Sun's plushies in stupid scenarios bc he can and Sun can't stop him. Long live the (nighttime) king.

Daytime, work time is Sun's time, night and sleep in all aspects belong to Moon in his optics. Literally, in the middle of patrol Moon tells Vanessa "I THINK I SEE SOMETHING" to make her think he's doing his job ((this doesn't work, she just doesn't follow him anymore)) and Moon comes down to Parts and do this weird but sweet(???? He thinks he's being sweet at least) gesture that he's found himself looking forward to.

For now, at least.

Until he finds another way to occupy his nights.

OH MY GOOOODDDDD CHAPTER TWOOOOOO

First of all thank you for blessing us with such a long chapter!!! An incredible read, genuinely loving it so much!!!

I'm so obsessed with the way you write Sun and Moon. You make them much more unique than the generic personalities the fandom has assigned them and I love it so much!!! YES Sun SHOULD be allowed to be a lil shit when he wants! YES Moon SHOULD have more depth to his character than just "hehe I'm a menace"! Yeeeeesssssss!!!!!

Also so obsessed with the way you write them being careful with reader? Or rather, not being careful? Like, Sun doesn't notice when he isn't being careful, esp when he's panicking, and Moon doesn't think it through when he wants to make reader laugh! Just!!! DCA that isn't at maximum wholesome attentiveness all the time!!! Yes!!!!!! (Makes me wonder if they will be at max attentiveness when meeting y/n....) (Also now wondering if meeting y/n would reduce them down to those "perfect fanfiction stereotype personalities"............)

And the progress reader and DCA are making is just!!! Aawww!!! So cuuuute! It makes me so scared for next chapter lmao 〒▽〒

y/n is gonna come screw all that progress up.... hahaha...... rip........

They're so unhinged and that's my favorite thing about the DCA in cannon, cannon Sun is actually a lil TM Mean, not really in a way that you couldn't be friends with him but you're going to catch strays every now and then (everyday at least once) and as someone who's had terrible anxiety spirals, you're not always going to be on your Ps and Qs when you're in the middle of it. You're going to act a little squirrelly (and try to shove your friend inside a drink machine apparently 😂) but I agree, there's a WHOLE other way you can lean with them besides Sun = nervous baby and Moon = mysterious bad boy (also everyone pegs Moon as low key a genius and as much as we LOVE him, I don't see that. Neither do I see Sun as helpless!)

Oh, friend, oh friend, oh friend, of COURSE YN is going to get the Baby Gurl treatment. Boo-boos? Kissed. Oh, they stubbed a toe? They're getting packed on Sun's hip. What, they're eepy bc they stayed up late last night? Moons putting them in a nap ASAP it doesn't matter what's going on, security patrols be DAMNED

Oh, and MEchanic just gets to sit back and implode, imagine SpongeBob in the one episode his grandma treats Patrick like a baby
