Yonderly: What kinds of things do they think about when they zone out?
Hikari has a habit of daydreaming. Prior to her recent engagement, she tends to daydream about an alternate universe where her mother is alive and well and she is able to maintain a good father-daughter relationship with the king. She also often thinks about how it would be like if she got along with all her siblings or how it would be like to be able to play and spend time with her siblings as normal people would. More recently, however, she has begun to think of the possibility of peace and at what a cost the world needs to pay in order achieve it. Her new romantic relationship has her thinking about creating a family of her own someday– a family she wants to raise in a peaceful world.
Zugzwang: What’s the trickiest problem they face in their life right now?
It may sound totally cliche but one of her weaknesses are her emotions. Because she grew up in an environment where she is made to repeatedly feel that her presence is unwanted and that she is undeserving of the lifestyle she leads as a princess, she has a hard time dealing with her emotions. More specifically, she has trouble understanding her feelings towards certain important people in her life. These days she finds herself possibly falling in love but because the concept of being loved is almost foreign to her, she does not know how to deal with and how to properly demonstrate the emotion towards her loved one.

Hikari likes to immerse herself in books in which she is able to expose herself to a wide array of topics. When she reads, she usually picks topics at random and only decides to read further about the subject when it catches her interest. Therefore, know she is knowledgeable on various topics, it’s usually just on a need-to-know basis. The subjects she’s currently most interest in are astronomy and medicine though she greatly enjoys reading novels.
Gorgonize: What distracts them when they’re trying to get things done?
Jian and the way he smiles at her when he thinks she is not looking or the way tries so hard to make her laugh. She finds it too cute. She also finds it incredibly distracting when her heart skips a beat and the butterflies that appear whenever he’s around
Her thoughts are usually her worst distractions. Hikari is one to easily get lost in her daydreams so it is normal for her train of thought to wander from one topic to the next even though she’s physically occupied with work. The only time that she is able to free herself from distractions is during her bending training. One of her strengths in fire bending is her concentration wherein it often takes a lot to break her focus.
Noegenesis: Are there any topics that they love to think about deeply?
Though she is someone who was extremely traumatized by the events in her childhood, Hikari still indulges herself in thoughts of happy endings and what if’s. She thinks about how her life might have been different if her mother was still alive; she longs for her mother deeply and to some extent, her father’s care too. Lately, however, she has been finding herself thinking about her future; how she would be as a mother if ever she would have kids and the kind of life she and her husband would lead.

Infandous: What topics will they refuse to speak about?
Though many people are aware of her past, Hikari is never one to talk about the death of her mother and the abuses she received as a child. The people’s awareness of these events in her life come largely from gossip and hearsay. On the extremely rare occasions that a person earns her trust, she may talk about them but the other party may need to coax her in order for to talk more about it.
Obsidian: Which of the seven deadly sins would they be? Why?
Out of the seven, Hikari would be wrath or anger. The execution of her mother, which she was made to watch, is something she largely blames on her father and his ministers. Because she was abused and maltreated by the current queen from her childhood, she also harbors strong ill feelings towards the queen. Up to this day, her mother’s death is her motivation to seek revenge against the king and queen. No one knows of this, however, because though she is angry (and is at the point where she hates the king and queen), she feels that she is very deserving of all the bad things happening in her life for her inability to save her mother.
Ostentiferous: What’s the unluckiest thing that’s ever happened to them?
Her life is made up largely of a lot of unlucky events; the death of her mother and the cruelty of her step mother are the events that largely defined her childhood. She is also continuously abused by her younger brother, Aeron, who shares the same sentiments as the current queen regarding Hikari’s worthlessness. More recently, however, the breaking off of her engagement to her childhood sweetheart, Hyunki, is also something she considers a defining unlucky event of her life.
