V O G U E . January 2004 "Pretty Woman". This was a collections story for Spring 04. The focus for the collections was pretty and feminine, florals and soft colours. Shot by Craig McDean and styled by Grace, it featured some of modellings hottest newcomers. Daria, Julia, Eugenia and Hana were the most in demand at the time and some of the most gorgeous. H A N A . Hailing from the Czech Republic ( the same country that also gave us Eva Herzigova ), Hana was a part of the early millennial, Eastern Block "Supers", circa 02/03 ( Girls like Karolina, Eugenia and Natalia were amongst this new crop of "it girls" ). A favourite of top designers like Donatella ( who bought Hana back for her Fall 18 show earlier this year, popping up again days ago for her men's spring collections ) and Tom Ford, she in turn scored campaigns for both, shot by Meisel and Testino respectively. Meisel was also a big supporter of Hana, shooting her for Vogue Italia and US editorials and covers, along with campaigns for Max Mara, Escada and more. Craig McDean, Patrick Demarchelier and Mario Sorenti were also fans of this tall, athletic blonde, who had dreams of becoming a professional basket baller. This physique also made her a runway star, with one of the best walks in the business, strong yet sensual. One of my favourite editorials featuring Hana is from US Vogue, January 2004. A collections story shot by Craig McDean and styled by Grace, Hana was fresh and radiated, she was just so gorgeous! A mother of two, it will be interesting if we see more from her in the coming months?
