OK I’m trying to follow Alex’s process here:

He notices a secret lamp signal in his newly discovered lair and decides not to mention it to Kyle, even though they explore the rest of the lair together.

He goes back later, follows the lamp signal, bashes open his wall, and finds a funky piece of glass.

Being a hacker, he goes on the dark web to see if he can learn more about his funky glass, finds “a world of government conspiracies” which “all led back to” Jesse Manes. (I don’t even know what that means.) That’s convenient!

He follows his dad to his lair a few times. (How?)

He reconstructs one his dad’s discarded burner phones. (Is that how Jesse communicates with Cam?)

He calls his mom. (Wait, what? He’s still in communication with his mother? What’s that like? Doesn’t he have major abandonment issues? Are they close? Is this the first time they’ve spoken in years? WHAT DID SHE TELL HIM ABOUT JESSE AND ALIENS? And why didn’t she tell him years earlier?)

He somehow finds out (his amazing hacking skillz?) that the EXTREMELY HIGHLY CLASSIFIED Project Shepherd was closed down years earlier.
