Creating a layered scan of cogs I found at a scrap yard, I created these designs/images inspired by the decaying of mechanical objects. if man was not there to maintain and upgrade these powerfull machines, they would rust and decay and become outdated.

Upon graduation in 2008 she began her fashion line, Vega Zaishi Wang, which is known for purity of tone, exceptional handicraft, and a quiet charm. Her latest project sponsored by VICE and Intel is an exploration of the universe and its vastness as seen through fashion. Taking inspiration from space, her own name and the constellation Lyra (goddess of wearing in Chinese astronomy), Wang designed the Alpha Lyrae line.”

Research: Looking around Leeds for images of inspiration, Colour, Texture, and ways of comparing how the hand and machine work, whether its harmoniously or discordantly. 

The Area is an ex-industrial part of Leeds, however, there is still hand rendered pieces displayed as graffiti. 

At the moment I am feeling inspired by the idea of machinery and the clock hand painted on the side of the building in image 3, the idea of hand painting or spray painting an ex-industrial town, is intriguing and I would like to look into spray painting my designs amongst other techniques.
