Herding Cats by Sarah Andersen
Sarah’s Scribbles are a delight and always make me smile.
Recs- mas 2017 Day 1: A Happy Book
The Wind in the Willows // Kenneth Grahame One of the most well known of the “animal children’s fantasy” stories. It’s basically a Disney movie in book form. I think part of it actually WAS made into a Disney animated short back in the day. It has a feel similar to “Charlotte’s Web” and “Winnie the Pooh” and it’s a pretty nice time.
Happy Book!
So this is an open happy book. If you see and read this, please add on if you’re able to though you don’t have to. It’s basically a list of things that make me happy, and then it’s open for people to reblog and add on to the list where i left off. When you’re sad you can look at the list and see what makes this tumblr community happy and maybe smile about it. They can be anything, big vague things (ex: summer, friends) or small more specific things (ex: the feeling of grass between my toes, the smell of fresh chocolate chip cookies). It’s open for anyone to add on to, and please do!

I was walking home from getting some medicine, and I was just getting to my door when my girlfriend and I saw a shooting star. 🌠
I watched my first meteor shower, a few weeks ago so, I'm happy for a little reminder of the lecture and the joy.✨ I forgot to bring a blanket so, my butt got a little wet on the grass. (100% I made a lil' wish, cause I'm magic.🔮)
I loved the "I Spy." books as a kid. So I borrowed a couple from the library, and as I was going through one of the Halloween ones and I was thinking it'd be cool to fulfill the dream of having a doll house by making it a little tribute to the books. (It would be a haunted dollhouse but, that's more for my aesthetic. If I could ever afford the actual doll house husk, there would hopefully be enough space to do a few different rooms for classic themes but, I dunno.)
It's a good (therapy), long term project, that I could always add to. I like having 'anchor projects' that I can return to when I need time to zone out, when I need to distract myself, or when I'm otherwise in waiting mode, etc.
Comfort can Infact come in the form of simple pleasures like chili & cheese, and a side of tiny canned weinies. (It helps when my roomie sets up watching comfort shows in bed.)
