Happiest of FFWF! 💗 How’re you doing? It’s been so long since I’ve got round to sending questions, I’m trying to get ahead of myself 😂 I’d love to hear about any current writing projects you have or any you’re looking forward to tackling this year!
Hey! Happy FFWF! Sorry this is late, I had a stinking headache yesterday and the room has finally stopped spinning! It’s lovely to hear from you! I hope you’re well!!❤️❤️
*Claps hands together* Current writing projects! Well, I’m just over halfway with a writing commission, which is a 40K IronStrange project involving the idea of, what if Stephen was paralyzed after his accident and Tony creates him a whole new body? It’s a sort of cyberpunk story that incorporates the idea of what it means to be human.
‘Stephen, all joking aside, this is a huge procedure and as confident as I am in my abilities, I am only human. Trust me, take a few days to read through this and think about it carefully-’
‘What happened to the man who was stalking me in the hospital, begging me to do this procedure?’ Stephen chased after him as Stark rolled himself away on his chair, trying to maintain their distance.
‘As much as I want you to be the one to do this, I’m not going to force you or trick you into this. There’s no coming back from this procedure, Stephen, this is-’
‘What do you think I have to go back to?’ Stephen interrupted again, and this time Stark didn’t counter him. He looked almost…scared, his skin turning a sickly ash color as his gaze darted from Stephen in the wheelchair to the body behind him.
‘Stark…Tony,’ he whispered, noticing the way the man’s eyes widened for a moment but he still stayed silent. ‘There…isn’t anything to go back to.’ This wasn’t him. He didn’t wear his heart on his sleeve, he didn’t show his emotions or fears, but he was already at his lowest and showing Stark his fear wasn’t weakness when he was already broken.
Desperate didn’t begin to cover the raw ache inside him that needed more. He could have his life back. The man before him held the keys to that future and Stephen wasn’t going to let anything stop him. Whatever Stark needed him to sign, whatever rights he had to give up, it was worth it.
It was worth whatever the cost.
‘Stephen, I can’t imagine what you’re going through, how difficult this must be…’
He didn’t understand why Stark was opposing this, why he kept retreating. He had offered it to Stephen, had already built the body.
‘Tony…you’ve already made my life a thousand times better by putting me in his chair. This small thing you’ve done, you’ve given me a taste of freedom. How many times in the past few months do you think I’ve been able to go where I’ve wanted when I’ve wanted?’ Stephen didn’t chase him this time, but his words were measured, floating in the air and binding Stark to his will.
He could see him wavering.
‘I know you’re feeling trapped in your body, but there are things you need to consider about this new body. It will take a while for you to amalgamate. You won’t have the same freedoms you do as a human. I’m working on changing those, but it’s still in the process of-’
‘Stark, I can’t even wash myself anymore. I’ve nearly bankrupted myself on operations and experimental treatments…I’ve got nothing left, nothing. No money, status. The only thing I have left is this. Please, don’t take this away from me.’
The other projects I’m working on in the next few months are my Marvel Trumps Hate Auctions. I’ve got a 70k FrostIronStrange ABO in the works (Planning stages) and the 5k one I’ve nearly finished the first draft. The story concept is basically, what if Tony could suddenly ‘hear’ Loki and Stephen’s thoughts!
Here’s a little snippet (It’s still in the rough draft stages!):
Enough was enough. How much longer would they do this? Tiptoeing around what they all wanted, ensnared in tendrils of past hurts and webbings of echoes from the past that they weren’t worthy.
‘Stark?’ Loki noticed that he hadn’t moved first, standing out the outskirts of their camp.
Stephen looked up at the same time, getting to his feet.
I’m going to have to say something now. Why is he acting like this?
‘I’m fine, just been…thinking about a few things. You guys tired?’ Tony diverted their concern, hearing the mischief in his voice.
Norns, he is adorable, Loki thought, a rush of affection rushing through Tony for a moment.
‘Not yet. You, Strange?’ Loki answered verbally, raising an eyebrow in challenge at Stephen.
‘No. However, we’ve got ground to cover tomorrow so I think it’s best-’
‘You want to play a game with me?’ Tony interrupted, purposely making his voice flirty, alluring as he maintained eye contact with Loki. Both their brains short circuited at that, neither of them thinking anything past staring at him, their minds blissfully quiet.
‘What kind of game?’ Loki whispered back.
Do not get your hopes up. He chanted to himself, forcing his eyes to remain on Tony’s face even as his mind supplied images of Tony naked in the water, the droplets of water he ached to lick away.
‘Do you know how to play poker?’ Tony asked, taking a few steps forward, gaze flicking towards Stephen now, letting it purposely rake over his body before meeting his gaze.
Is he…checking me out? Stephen’s inner voice stuttered. Tony found it cute that even inside the safety of his own mind, Stephen’s voice still faltered, uncomprehending of what he was seeing.
‘I do,’ Loki drew the attention back to himself. ‘But we have nothing to barter with.’
‘Back in college we used favors if we ran out of cash, or dares…but I’ve got something different in mind.’
Please don’t go there, Stephen’s mind scrabbled now, guessing where Tony was going.
‘What…did you have in mind, Stark?’ Loki asked, getting to his feet.
Are his affections for Strange? Jealously wasn’t an unfamiliar emotion with Loki, Tony could sense that. He knew how he felt inferior to Thor, had seen a kindred spirit within him during the few times he’d spoken about Odin. Tony could relate, his father had always put Steve on a pedestal too.
This felt different to a desperate need for recognition. Tony could see the images that were plaguing Loki, images of pinning Tony beneath him, Loki’s name on his lips as he screamed. He gave a full-body shudder at the image, his mind swimming with the potential, his body aching with want.
‘Strip poker,’ he said, voice wavering a little as both men swallowed thickly.
These are the two I’m concentrating on at the moment and then I’ll start on my other two auction pieces. Currently, I don’t have any other planned projects after these, so these might be the last few stories from me in the Marvel fandom.😥😥
