I think I'm hilarious
Recent Mojodusa discourse is reminding me I never posted this. Let the little monkey fuck!
Shoutout to @boobeam-trap for writing Mojo’s dialogue. It’s perfect as always lol
"It doesn't pass the Harkness test 😨"
Mmmm even better 🤤
Fionna and Cake Season 2: dude...I liked (past-tense) Lord M-Chron and Cake together and all....but....isn't he...a HUMAN....and she....a CAT?? 🤢🤢🤮
My Adventures With Superman Season 1: yeah he fucked that gorilla who gives a shit
I say this as an aroace person who isn't actually all that interested in this kind of stuff, but Pokémon pass the Harkness test and I'm honestly so tired of people acting like they're animals when they're just. not.
fuck the Harkness Test. the real question is «do they have abs»
If Transformers were real, I could see many people debating whether it's okay to date the robots. I could see them using the Harkness test to determine whether Cybertronian are romanceable. If you don’t know what it is, it's a set of rules determining whether it's okay to romance a non-human species. The 1st rule states that the creature must have a human-like intelligence or higher, which most Cybertronians pass the test. Secondly, the creature must be able to communicate with humans properly so they can consent which is not a big issue for Cybertronians since pretty much all of the bots can talk and understand human language and have interacted with humans with no language barrier. Lastly, the third rule states that the creature must be fully grown and be considered an adult, which is another win for Cybertronians since all Cybertronians are born fully developed out of the ground with varying maturity levels.
Buddy your preaching the choir here, I've been knowing about the Harkness test the associated monster fucking with it.
Also an obligatory mention of: Don't use the Harkness test to actually try to figure out what is or is not morally okay to sleep with. I will bring up the "Scooby Doo clause" as an example. By all the conditions stated above Scooby passes the test with flying colors however that still doesn't take the fact away that's just a pet dog that talks.
There are whole 10k threads on Reddit debating this sort of thing, it gets complicated pretty fast. I would go more into it but this ask is already pushing this blog's rating.
Everyone just try to use your best judgement and critical thinking skills okay?
Anyways back to the first question- oh for sure. There's lots of bigots among humanity so it wouldn't surprise me if there were arguments about this.
