robin couldn’t believe she was at this party, but somehow steve had encouraged her and ultimately convinced her it would be a good idea. at least other people from band were around so she wasn’t completely alone. however, as she rounded a corner she bumped into someone. “oh, uh, hey steph,” she greeted as she stopped herself from rambling.

Previously on the Daily Quest… The party entered Blingdenstone and saw that it was reduced to rubble by Ogremoch’s Bane. Silently they wandered through the ruins searching for survivors and salvaging whatever they can before they moved on. They elected to inspect the ruins of the Pudding Court one last time and what they found was a massive abyss where the Court once stood. Chilled by this sight they decided to travel to Mantol-Derith and maybe find a way to the surface. As they were leaving the city a small quake revealed an ancient structure in the ruins. Martyn raced towards it like a madman with the party in tow. They discovered a grisly sight. Several gnomes were strewn over a bloodsoaked altar which was dedicated to some profane power. Martyn was at the altar sobbing and in mental anguish. The party approached with caution. To their horror they found the gnomes were still alive and in terrible pain. Bodhi found the architect of this macabre ritual lurking in the darkness beyond and launched an attack upon it. It responded by raising several minions to engage the party while it retreated back into the bowels of hell. The party tore through the golems like vengeance personified and all was silent once more except for the labored gasps of the victims on the altar. To everyone’s surprise Tappy was one of the gnomes on the altar. The party desperately attempted all manner of curative magic and medical techniques at their disposal but all they could do was stabilize the victims. They needed stronger healing magic or they would die. Bodhi set out to run to Mantol-Derith and find healers as all the gnomes have evacuated Blingdenstone. He left instructions that he would rendezvous with the party on the road with help in tow. While the rest were busy Typherious approached the gnomes with a grim look on his face. He raised a knife to put the gnomes out of their pain. Martyn burst into the room and tried to stop the killings. He and Typh wrestled on the floor but Arah and Bo proceeded to slay the rest of the gnomes All throughout the slaughter Martyn cried out that this was what the demon wanted. And then a silence fell unto the group as the deed was done. As Martyn stood up aghast at what happened he is suddenly charged with a surge of energy and is flung across the room as if struck by lightning. Martyn is rendered powerless by his god. The battle turns in the party’s favor as Arah brings down one of the elementals with her fire circlet. As the party flees the battlefield the biggest elemental tears itself from the battle with the Keepers. Ogremoch’s Bane is intent on destroying the party. Fortunately the group has prepared with this eventuality. Confirming that they were facing the Bane Martyn casts a Banishing spell which casts the entity from this world. The party rejoices but continues to flee away from the city. They do everything to evade pursuit and even took a detour to check out a mysterious door Bodhi’s scouting party found earlier. They were challenged to a riddle which Martyn solves and the group acquires some spectacular gear. They leave the mystery of the door to be solved later and continue to travel to Blingdeonstone preparing for the day that the demon comes to claim Martyn’s soul. The party caught up to the duergar as they were fleeing into the city. This entryway into the city was more heavily defended and it seemed like a small fortress was positioned at this point. This seemed to be the Keeper’s fort as the duergar were making a beeline towards it. They should not be allowed to enter that fort! The party rushed with all haste and fell upon Arah’s captors as soon as they were in range. But something unexpected happened. An army of earth elementals which was probably controlled by Ogremoch’s Bane was marching towards Gracklestugh. It’s intent seemed that it wanted to raze the city to the ground. It destroyed the bridge into the city and sent Arah’s wagon and the duergar in it flying. The group rushed to where the cart landed and found that Arah had survived but was badly injured. We set her on Sariel who had shifted into a direwolf and the group was going to flee the battle while the duergar were occupied. But the Bane sent a small elemental force against the party trying to cut off their escape. Bodhi decided that we should face the elementals were the terrain favored the group as the pass before them were full of rocky passageways that the elementals would use in their favor. Sariel was instructed to take Arah away from the fight. The group fought with a ferocity born of pent up rage against the duergar. Lo'Kag let his fury loose onto the elementals even managing to send one flying with a mighty kick. Typherious charged into battle charging his lance with thunderous power. The mighty Martyn and Theo sent spell after spell shattering the clusters of elementals. The elementals were not to be outdone. One of the four story monstrosities picked up Bo even though the tiefling hacked deep gashes into their arm and flung them at Typherious knocking him out. As the battle raged on the party heard a shrill cry. Arah and Sariel had joined the fray!! Participants - Bo, Bodhi, Theodora, Lo'Kag, Typherious, Sariel, Martyn XP – Treasure – Arah

The party prepared to travel light in order to hurry to rendezvous point that the duergar had mentioned. Bodhi didn’t trust the duergar so he had Sending spells sent to Arah so that she could describe her current position and how many duergar we were dealing with. We confirmed that they have left taking Arah with them back to the city. Our group doggedly chased the duergar party using all means in order to track them and their very uncooperative captive. Arah tormented her captors during the trip. We sent Sending spells to talk to Arah encouraging her to stay strong as the party was coming to her rescue. The group forced marched in order to catch up to the duergar only taking rests when needed in Typherous’ cart. The party while travelling planned several morbid ways to inflict upon the Keepers when they caught up with them. Participants - Bo, Bodhi, Theodora, Lo'Kag, Typherious, Sariel, Martyn XP –

The scouting team found evidence that the duergar were alive and fled perhaps towards Gracklestugh. The group continued to track the dwarves even after they were harassed by bats, slimes and other obstacles but they persevered. The duergar were lying wait for them at an old bridge using their invisibility to set up the ambush but they were defeated but not before injuring Lo'Kag. The group learned that one of their number had escaped and it’s tracks led to a door guarded by a helmed horror. After tussling with the thing the team disengaged from it. They continued tracking the last duergar who was a Keeper captain. During the fight the captain knocked out Arah and held her hostage if we did not let him go. Bodhi could not trust the duergar but he could not risk Arah’s life and Lo'Kag was still injured. After much negotiations they agreed to terms and both groups left their separate ways. Bodhi was planning to go after Arah as soon as possible so they went back and collected the party and informed them of Arah’s capture. Bo was distraught by the news. They then reported to Sinni that a single Keeper captain managed to get away. Sinni did not take the report well and ordered a city wide evacuation. Participants - Bodhi, Lo'Kag, Arah XP – 350

The party unleashed their might upon the invading duergar. It seemed that we had the upper hand when drow forces fell upon our band raining powerful magics of their own. Several of our members were injured by the constant barrage of attacks and spells and a new player came to join the fray. Powerful stone elementals charged in from the South attacking the gnome defenders and the party. Fortunately we had allies in this fight as the dwarves set up the completed ballista and started firing upon the enemy. The wererats of the city joined in to defend Blingdenstone from the invaders. Even the dragon hatchling joined in the fight setting the enemy alight with it’s fire breath. Not all were going to survive this fight as the elemental overwhelmed the dwarven crew and the gnome guards were overwhelmed by the enemy. Finally only the elementals were all that remained and the party took them down gleefully. We reported the news to Sinni who after a bit of discussion wanted to be sure if all the duergar were slain. Bodhi, Arah and Lo'Kag and a few wererats volunteered to track any survivors that might have fled the battle. While recovering from their last fight. We did some legwork in order to find any weaknessess. Bodhi studied the last medusa’s diary hoping to find a solution. The party was summoned by Sinni with terrible news. A Keeper army showed up at the gates of Blingdenstone demanding the return of their dragon egg and that the citizens surrender us to them. The party discussed among themselves on how they were to defuse the situation as they do not want unnecessary bloodshed. They went to pick up Sariel and discovered that the dragon egg had hatched! For a day old hatchling it amazed the group by communicating in perfect Common and named itself Unur-Tosz-Andre. We told Sariel the bad news and she stormed off to confront the army at the gates. We rushed in after her and it seemed that the duergar army took no time in setting their siege. They were already battering down the gates when the party arrived there. We took up defensive positions to try and prevent the duergar from entering the city and the battle for Blingdenstone begins!
