Solving Hawkeye’s  Movie-Comic Inconsistency

Adding Matt Fraction’s Hawkeye storylines to marvel’s cinematic universe may not be as difficult as people think. Just make it a Netflix show!

Problem 1: No Kate!

I mean, no, we don’t have the Young Avengers yet. But what if they would be introduced in a future film or TV show? Her origin could be explored there or in the netflix series I’m currently imagining in my head.

Problem 2: This ain’t the same Clint in the comics!

In the MCU, Clint has secretly settled down with a family and continues to do his job with the Avengers. He is happy and family-oriented.

Clint in Fraction’s books is not. He’s seen the end of many relationships and marriages, and is haunted by his trauma with a distinct inability to properly cope. Kate Bishop plays a huge part during this time.

This part is where I begin to hate myself. Why? Because how can we get Clint to be more like his version in the comics? Well, I thought, why dont we just kill/ separate him from his family? Its horrible, but it would leave so many fascinating character interactions and developments. He would be single and move to the city. It gives the story room for Kate, Lucky, and his apartment dwellers. His big problem is that he feels like everyone around him leaves him, and he feels responsible (sometimes, he’s right). If this happened, it would be easier to put these stories on screen. 

and maybe not kill off his family. I’m not a monster. There could be divorce. Cosmic-force-manipulation shit in an Avengers movie. I don’t know.
