There’s a tension in the kitchen, an anxious energy that’s palpable. Perspiration beads and drips from furrowed brows. Hands that hold knives tremble as years of training and precision run up against an artificial--but substantial--fear. Trained eyes squint and then go wide with panic. Glass shatters, spectators gasp.

All of this is documented in such a way to heighten the drama. There are tight, zooming camera shots on scowling faces, bandaged hands, shaking tools. Subtle music added to the spectacle plays at a quick tempo, a savage avatar of racing human hearts.

Vision tips his head to the side as he observes. 

“If the preparation of food is considered an art, why is then also considered a torment?”

What aspect of your muse’s personality is most important to you? What aspect of your muse’s personality do you think is most important to them? Is it the same? Why or why not?

I think I’ve said it before, but I really love his duality. He can be such a dick but he can also be so incredibly gentle and loyal.

The aspect of his personality Jono would consider most important to himself is his saltiness, and ability to wall himself off. He considers it his best tool for protecting himself and others.

I guess these are partially the same, but I wish Jono would value his ability to create strong bonds as much as he valued his independence…

“I’m sure there are other people out there that could do a hell of a lot better job at this than me. People who knew Clint more.....who could put things more....eloquently than I can. But if I know Clint, then I know he wouldn’t want everyone crying over him like this. Will we? Of course, but I know he’d want us to smile at least once. So I guess that’s what I’m doing up here. Being the comic relief that we all need for now. The first time I ever meat Clint, he changed my life. Not in some big impacting way or anything, but he was one of the Jack Booted thugs that stole my boss’ equipment and my iPod. I swore then and there to make life miserable for every single one of them after that. But then I got to know him and the little shit totally got me to fall in friendship love with him. He was a goofball and a dork and could pack away more cupcakes than any supersoldier or spysassin ever could. And even though he was deaf, the man could listen better than anyone I knew. Countless times we’d stay up late and have Disney movie marathons. Or we’d start watching some sort of series on Netflix, and each time he’d be called away on a mission, he made me promise not to finish the season without him. And even though I always did, he didn’t actually care. He only pretended to suffocate me with the couch cushion. Clint Barton was just genuinely a good person, and even though I’m going to miss his shitty jokes and the purple spandex, I know that he’s gonna be keeping an eye out for us wherever he is. Rest in Peace Clint. I love you bird boy.”

Rivalry

Tommy is very challenge driven. He doesn’t view others as rivals (at least not consciously), but he’s never really had the important people in his life pay attention to him, and as such, he feels a certain need to show up others in those people’s lives. It’s for that reason he tends to be very pushy and self-assertive.

Take Me Under Your Wing | Peter & Clint

Peter made his way into Avenger’s tower, his breath catching in his throat. This was a lot. This was...amazing. Everything was almost overwhelming. There were so many things to see, people to talk to. One day, he hoped to be here more permanently. He wanted to be an Avenger. He hoped that one day he could be a full on Avenger, rather than just the kid that worked for Tony Stark and occasionally swung around on a web. He couldn’t just spend all his time with Deadpool. As much as Deadpool would love that. And so he made his way through the tower, deciding right then that he would be one. An Avenger. He would make it happen. Now how did he go about signing up? 

He sighed, feeling awkward as he stood at the bottom floor of the tower and waited. He had come to drop off something for Mr. Stark and now he didn’t want to leave. He looked like some star struck kid and he knew it.
