@haystack_school is artcamp heaven. The last two weeks of studying with @robertolugostudio @ohmargie @brooksoliver and Bech Evans and slinging clay with a beautiful and diverse group of people has changed my life. Love and miss my Haystack clay tribe. #ceramics #haystackmountainschoolofcrafts #crafts (at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts)

I learned about the wondrous qualities of porcelain sponges from Bech Evans. Here is his sponge collection. I think he was telling me to use that one he was pointing at in this picture. 🤓 #ceramics #crafts #porcelain #haystackmountainschoolofcrafts #bechevans #mudtools (at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts)

10.17.2021 Most wonderful time at Haystack - to write, to think, to laugh, to be with people, to work - with the most amazing staff and board. Trying to tag everyone. More posts to follow. This was my first work trip since March 2020. I was nervous about being able to be with everyone. I miss everyone I miss people I miss laughter I miss thinking together so so much and I feel replenished. Takeaways: equity work is getting done - it’s messy, its what we are doing and it’s beautiful; staff worked so damned hard on EVERYTHING and for those you planning to take classes next year - the studio redo is FANTASTIC, “evidence of learning” @sysclark; morning questions (Mikki Flores); negative screening (laura Galaida); “take off with no landing” @sarahkkhan. Who did I not tag?! #thisiscraft #haystackmountainschoolofcrafts #craftscape (at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts) https://www.instagram.com/p/CVJUWQPF1z-/?utm_medium=tumblr

What works, what doesn’t, why do we do it, how can we invent new models for exploring ideas in this context? Saturday, October 2 at 2pm - Demonstration - Flat to 3D: Forming a Sheet Metal Cone with Thomas Campbell (@thomas_campbell). This tutorial will walk students through the layout process of creating a sheet metal pattern for a three dimensional cone form.
