hi fellas. not a good start to the year for art or otherwise. i'm going to be taking a break until further notice. i don't know when i'll be back but i will be back at some point. it's just not gonna be now.
Hey guys! I'll be taking a whole month off in December because as you might have guessed (or looked through my tags regularly), I'm currently working on another animatic! Go figure, I keep coming up with one per year!
As such, I kind of want to focus on it so that I have the buffer time to refine it and upload it. But I'll still be working on other things too, of course; I'm not gonna abandon the ISAT TCSS AU (which all of you really love, thank you!) and I have other art pieces I wanna work on (like the Elevator Hitch series)! I'll be working quietly in the background is all.
I'll be back in January, hopefully with more progress on the animatic and a whole lot of backlog to post! And perhaps, a bit of renovation here and there on the blog.

Welcome to my itty bitty art blog that I've been running for a long time because I've been on this hellsite for far too long. Used to go by @.ashleys-art-portfolio and then @.ashleys-doodle-corner before finally changing it to what I'll stick for the long haul. Figured I should finally get my act together and cobble together a pinned post of a sort.
I post on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at around 8 pm on GMT+8 if I have art scheduled up, otherwise it's around the evenings for me. I usually draw whatever's buzzing around in my head, fan art mostly but on rare occasions I do original art too.

Like I mentioned in my previous posts, I will still be working on the Two Coins Same Side AU bit by bit and also finishing up the Sifloop + Loop sprite edits at Some Point! Right now I'm sort of alternating between my usual upload days for ISAT and non-ISAT art, and my usual schedule is Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm GMT+8. So I hope you'll stick around!
So while I don’t have a new piece up and running today, I do have a sneak peek for y’all on the upcoming To The Moon zine! I’m happy to say that I’m a part of this particular zine, since it’s my first ever one, and also a fandom that I really love!

Sorry for being gone for about a week. I have exams coming up and I realised that I gotta put the brakes on art for a while to study for them, else I’m never going to stop.
So this is gonna be a pause on art for a while. Thanks for understanding.
I know I’m not a blog that posts explicit NSFW art, but I have, in the past, posted some form of NSFW, in terms of nudity for anatomy practice. But while this does not affect me greatly, it certainly affects a lot of people who do draw NSFW art, whether for fun or for a living.
By pulling this stunt, Tumblr is literally limiting the artistic freedom on the site. There are people who has spent maybe months or years trying to build up their social circle and popularity, only for it to be taken away because Tumblr decided that NSFW didn’t belong here?
They haven’t even solved the NSFW bot problem. The flagging system isn’t even being effective; it’s flagging posts left and right without any specific criteria. Sure, some of it gets correctly tagged, but we’ve seen how shitty Safe Search did.
And by doing this, Tumblr is literally driving people away. It’s already happening right now; people are turning to Twitter and other sites, and NSFW artists are stuck wondering where the hell they’re supposed to go from here.
Come on Tumblr. Can you take a long look around and realise what you’re doing?
That being said, I’m going to stick around. This has been a platform I’ve used for years, and I don’t see anywhere else to go. But if Tumblr thinks that they’re going to sustain themselves on the few people that stay because they have no choice, they’re wrong.

happy new year! unfortunately, i will be extending my hiatus for a little longer, which really is just until the 18th of jan. my work is kicking my ass a bit and i am not about to kickstart the new year with another 9 months of burn out.
