Serena does try out new decks, or different ones. There are cases where Serena has used a structure deck, or just made a deck from a number of packs she has opened. The reason being, is to learn, to grow. Along with possibly thinking of ways to strengthen her lunalights, so it can be the best deck possible. The only way you can learn, is by researching other decks, and other strategies and how they work and combat.

So no matter the format, Serena is ready to combat it with her lunalights, any time, any kind of duel.

While Serena is aiming to find that fun again she found while dueling Yugo, she still struggles with how to express that. Being that she was built as a soldier for pretty much all her life, it’s hard for her to suddenly change into that. As if she’s dueling kids, she may be a bit too serious into it, when she knows she should be more open, and welcoming, then just being a hard rock that won’t crack.

Over time however, once she is more used to it, you’ll start to see a different side of Serena. One that smiles more, one that seems more welcoming, rather than cold.

How would Serena (pre or post academia) do teaching someone to play yugioh?

She might not be a bad teacher tbh. She’d be quite strict however. Dueling is her game, so explaining it would be fine for Serena.

I feel like Serena likes cute things, or is appreciative of them. Or something of the sort. Mainly because they’re emotions or feelings she has basically locked away due to her time at academia. If she was allowed to be more expressive and free from all of this. She would’ve been less soldier focused, and more fun loving like how Yuzu is.

I feel like Rin overthinks a little. Since she’s a competitive duelist, she may be the sort if she loses a match, sure she’ll accept the loss, but she will constantly think of how she can do better, what she did wrong, and might even be a little upset by it. But I guess that just shows the strength of the duelist that she has. Showing that she’s willing to improve after losing.
