Hysterectomy & Hormones: It’s Okay to Feel Off.
After a hysterectomy, your body starts asking different questions.
Your hormones, those tiny messengers that once followed a steady rhythm suddenly pause, shift, or even crash.
If your ovaries were removed (surgical menopause), you might feel:
– Mood swings that seem too intense
– Hot flashes out of nowhere
– Anxiety or low energy that wasn’t there before
– Sleep problems, night sweats, foggy thinking
Even if your ovaries are still there, your hormone levels can still change because your body knows something big happened.
This doesn’t mean something’s wrong with you.
It means your system is adjusting.
Your body is learning a new language.
It’s okay to feel weird.
It’s okay to need time.
Hormonal balance doesn’t return overnight.
Support exists through food, movement, conversations, and sometimes, medical help.
Healing looks different for everyone.
But feeling confused? That's normal.
You’re allowed to pause, ask questions, and breathe through the shifts.
