Grateful for the commemorative book and patches celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (@thersaf) Helicopter Group. A fitting tribute to the airmen and women past and present involved in helicopter operations. In contrast to the popular glam and sexiness factor of jet fighters, I think it takes a certain kind of aviator and aircrew with dare and will to be able to go ‘low and slow’ and get up close with troops on the ground in the thick of battle.
