DP x DC: Hellraiser
So in Hellraiser, the Lament configuration aka the puzzle box, is a gateway between this world and hell
It was designed by an brilliant toy maker and it’s a combination of his ingenious design and dark magic that bridges the gap between this world and the next. By solving the box, the gateway is opened
So a portable portal to the Ghost Zone made into a puzzle box is a very Fenton style invention
So what I propose is one of the more investigative heroes finding this puzzle box and becoming obsessed with solving it only to open up a portal to the ghost zone when they do
My personal suggestion is Tim Drake because if him stalking Batman and Robin proves anything it’s that he’s extremely smart and prone to obsessive behavior. A puzzle he genuinely struggles with opening? That’s like catnip to him, and/or most of the bats but especially him
AND I’m just saying accidentally summoning the Ghost King by solving a puzzle is more on brand for the bats than willingly relying on magic to solve a problem. Like, I’m pretty sure Bruce would be more willing to use a gun than to hop on board summoning an unknown entity unless it was 11000% necessary.
Cenobite Rook
I really wanted to start drafting a new chapter, but I forgot proper sketchbook at home^^’
Sooo, @corinnesin it looks like your wish will be fulfilled ^^’
Tiny extra for Hellraiser AU
Warning: a bit GORE. If you are sensitive to that kind of things, please be careful or do not watch at all.
Last night I was dreaming that in an alternate universe where Captain Elliot Spencer never opened the Lament Configuration, he instead became a film director known for his completely unhinged, raunchy, queer dark comedies.
One of my favorite stills was from a claymation comedy he made about humans and angels. (They think we are vermin and are sick of being sent to help us.) There’s this guy who is falling to his death and is looking at this baby angel in horror as it proudly tells him, “I just got my wings!” (The implication being that this guy falls to his death.)
That had me laughing so hard in my dream and in real life that I now fully accept as canon that somewhere in the multiverse (where Captain Spencer did the work to integrate the twisted sense of humor that helped form Pinhead), post war Captain Spencer did indeed become this unhinged filmmaker, and it makes me happy. I think Pinhead would be proud.
Bonus: In this universe, Elliot Spencer’s two most widely acclaimed films were the aforementioned angel one (which was made late in his career post World War II and focused heavily on war atrocities, likely inspired not only by his own experiences in World War I but also the recently revealed atrocities of the Holocaust), and a comedy about sailors which scandalized audiences for its positive depiction of gay interracial relationships. So yeah, he never became a household name, but became a cult icon.
no but Steddie Hellraiser AU
Steve marries Al Munson, right? he's kind of a dick sometimes, kind of boring sometimes, always running his mouth and getting into (legal) trouble, and he complains about Robin making snide remarks about how weird she is, how she's always around (Steve threatens to dump him because of it but Robin promises him it's fine, she's a big girl, she can deal). But! he's rich, like, won the multi million lotto rich, so Steve stays (he has to provide for himself and his platonic soulmate and their cats, ofc), and they're married for a few years
Enter: Eddie, Al's son who Steve never met. Until today.
Eddie, who's hot with that sexed up hair and sexy with all those tattoos, but also goofy and nerdy and loud mouthed (Steve can certainly think of some better uses for that mouth of his) and he brings out Steve's soft side and his goofy side but also Steve's kinky side, which he never knew he had and Steve loves it, loves him.
and so Eddie and Steve begin a very passionate affair behind Al's back.
one day, Eddie kinda disappears on Steve. and poor Steve is heart broken, until he discovers why. See Eddie didn't actually leave, he was trapped in a secret hell dimension run by S&M obsessed demons who tortured poor Eddie for months, etc etc
this AU ft either Billy/Jason as a nosy neighbor who's in love w/ Steve and will stop at nothing to make Steve his, including trying to destroy his marriage with Al by exposing Steve's affair with Eddie.
In the end, Steve and Eddie live...somehow, and Al and Billy/Jason also die. Steve and Eddie end up together, maybe marry, inherit Al's millions and they along with Robin and the cats live happily ever after, the end.
“Oh, no tears please. It’s a waste of good suffering.”
Me and my friend @capiapoa have been having a great time discussing the idea of cenobite Maul! I was dying to drawing him in Pinheads outfit, I think he suits it very well >:)
