*PSA for anyone who has recently graduated and rented their regalia through Herff Jones*
When you return it, DO NOT GET RID OF YOUR TRACKING NUMBER. Take a screenshot, save the email, do something to make sure you have the proof that your regalia was returned and did arrive. My sister returned her regalia a month ago and this morning she got an email saying they had tried contacting her multiple times (they did not) and that if she did not send her regalia back by X date, they’d charge her $300. She had to dig through her email archives and the trash folder to find her tracking number and prove that she returned it. Her trash folder would’ve automatically deleted stuff in it tomorrow, so that proof was almost lost. She called Herff Jones to tell them about it, and they told her it was an automatically generated email, but it feels very much like a scam. Please make sure you have the proof that your regalia was returned so you can avoid paying a fine
