So… quick story time. Ten years ago, the summer after I had graduated high school, I discovered Hiccstrid. I read all the fics on AO3 and ff.net, but that wasn’t enough, I needed more, so I searched for more. I found a blog on tumblr. @hiilikedragons aka @baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa is no longer active, sadly, but she was at the time, and I had her blog open constantly. I would update it every few hours. Eventually I caved and created this account for myself. And now I’m reading her fics again, and they’re making me just as emotional as they did when I was nineteen.

Also, Cat, if you ever see this, I want you to know that appreciate the smut way more now that I’ve actually had sex.

I’m shooting myself in the heart foot by rereading @hiilikedragons’ AUs that have gone three to four years without an update, but fuck, I love them so much I can’t help it so I’m doing it anyway.

What is it about adorkable geeks that makes my heart squee? No clue, but here we are.

What WIP is on your mind right now?

Right now probably To Be Human, mostly. It’s a werewolfAU where I try to stray away from the stereotypical teeny-angsty-sparkling-in-the-sun supernatural stuff, and instead focus more on what it means to be human.

And some silliness, too, because I believe every story needs some.

It’s a project me and my friend (who also is my beta for the story) have gotten into fully with our hearts and souls and the characters came to life, I love it. I love exploring it.

I really, really want to do its justice.

It’s something I tried to write a year ago or so, but I can see now I wasn’t ready then - perhaps I still am not. But reading @hiilikedragons‘s werewolf au (which anyone who hasn’t checked out yet - definitely should check out) got the gears in my head running again. And maybe this time I will do it?

I hope to do it.

Dammit I just spent 3 days re reading Wild Hearts by hiilikedragons and it seriously is one of the greatest fan fic reads ever. So epic. Getting to the last chapter and finding it is an incomplete story... *sheds a tear* I read some of the reviews on there and everyone is willing her to come back and finish it. I know she probably won't. I just wished she had written little summary of how it would end. At the moment, it ends right before the climax. It actually hurts my heart. Meow.
