October 14th 1912, Theodore Roosevelt was campaigning in Milwaukee for his third term as a President. John Schrank lodged a bullet in Roosevelt's chest. Bullet went in his chest after holing through 50 page speech book and steel eyeglass. John Schrank was instantly disarmed by his bodyguards. When asked if he was alright. Roosevelt smiled and waved his hat in air. He denied to go to hospital. His opening statement after getting shot was ""Ladies and gentlemen, I don't know whether you fully understand that I have just been shot, but it takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose."
