So I know you’re Canadian but Jason isn’t! Could we get a similar story to that trick or treat one but it’s July 4th instead?

Aw, like a story comparing how things have changed over the years? Or just a holiday story in general? I struggle so hard with holiday stories mostly because my timing never lines up. I’ve missed July 4th in real life obviously, but also in the universe of the series. Although that’s what the extended series can always be used for.

What are the super important July 4th traditions I’d need to hit? I imagine it’s not that different from Canada Day: parades, fireworks, backyard bbqs, etc

“How old is he?” “This one is probably fifteen or so.” “Fifteen?” James looks above his camera, in clear awe. “That’s pretty rare in the wild.” Regulus smiles. “Tales of a white stag have always existed in the region… If you ask around, people will be more than happy to tell you he’s a myth, that he's several thousand years old at least. He doesn’t have a herd, did you hear? He’s older than most deers and they probably think him being so white is a liability.” Cocking his head as he jumps to his feet, Regulus comes to the sudden realisation James is drinking his words.  “Those deers are probably right. Because like someone here, he doesn’t have a lot of survival instincts. And he’s sweet. Friendly sweet.” “Regulus… This isn’t wise.” James warns but Regulus is already taking the direction of Pumpkin and the stag. “You’ll be living here so you need to know. Come Finn,” he calls softer, catching the interest of the wild animal by stretching the apple in front of him. “There's a certain James with me — James Potter, you can look him up online, they say — who’s been extremely impatient to meet you.”

What if… all is well that ends well and the New Year can start under the best auspices?

Little treat between Christmas and the New Year!

The White Stag

Regulus can’t think of anything to say, so he just moves out of the way, letting her in. Andromeda isn’t much of a talker either, but she has years of practice he doesn’t have. “And… Is that a Christmas tree as well?” She helps herself, leaving her long coat and shoes in the entrance, taking in the view of the decorated living room. “We have presents in the trunk, we’ll see to that later. It looks cosier, I like it. More festive than the previous years for sure.” “I met someone,” Regulus blurts out.  He’s still frozen in the lobby. His brain is trying to rewire Andromeda’s presence with the fact that James can come back at any time and he’s starting to freak out. He really, and completely, forgot.  Andromeda and her family spend every Christmas with Ted’s folk, a few miles South from here. They’re the reason why Regulus had found Glenfeighill in the first place. He couldn’t reach his brother so he reached her. “I’m happy for you, what’s his name?”  “James…” “It’s a good name,” she nods, fingers now inspecting one of Pandora’s ornaments on the tree, eyes traveling up to the red ribbon at the top, “and what James does for…” “…Potter…” “…a living?” “It’s James Potter.”

What if... like that feeling between Christmas and the New Year, Regulus is aware change is coming?
