My three week holiday ended today. It was a much needed break, and this week I have had several deep and meaningful conversations with my mum. I told her about my addiction problems and was 100% open and honest about it, and although she had already worked out what I was doing/using a long while back, she was thankful that I had finally come clean. A massive weight has been lifted off my shoulders and she told me the one thing I needed to hear above all else: That she is proud of me.

Adiós a esas discusiones o más bien charlas sobre política que nos ponía a todos enervados. Adiós a “-¿jugamos al póker? -no, Manuela. Adiós a "-¿y al juego de las caras? -vale, ese sí. Adiós a esas cachimbas que cada día eran de un sabor aún más raro, el último fue de “Natilla de la abuela”, sino lo veo no lo creo. Adiós a esas tardes en la playa o más bien, a esas siestas en la playa. Adiós a esas canciones de hace 50 años en el Kabila Beach, pero el cubata estaba realmente bueno. Adiós a esas pizzas o hamburguesas del Indian, realmente no hemos echado de menos ningún Burguer King o McDonald. Adiós a las vacaciones con mi familia, y si digo familia incluye abuela, tíos/as y primos/as imaginaros cuantos somos... Y nada un año más, a esperar a las vacaciones 2019, Matalascañas siempre va a estar ahí y eso es lo que me hace que me sienta un poquitín mejor.
