It's the way that SJM set the stage in CC2 for Hunt to wear the Mask. The only reason Quinlar's magics merge when they have sex, and a part of Bryce's Made essence stays inside Hunt, is so he could wield the Mask in CC3 to save Bryce's life. That's the only reason that happened, which makes it hard for me to believe that SJM would write a narrative where Nesta was in the wrong for giving Bryce the Mask - not when she set the stage for that in CC2.
