A spotlight shined from behind and lit a mysterious silhouette.
Only his guitarist and a murky filled glass on set.
No introduction.
The music cued once the shadow reached the mic.
A man’s voice, deep and raspy set the mood.
His lyrics tore right into hearts
His arms moved sharp and strong shielding a life that’s been unfair.
At least for me, the less I know about this man,
the more I can relate.
His music brings my own stories and memories to the plate.
Some that still make my heart ache,
And some I wish I could erase.
His presence is not neglectful.
His movements all meaningful.
And his pain, oh so relatable.
Oh Allan, the more you pull away
The more the audience will sway.
