BACKGROUND:

biography:

❧ Dakota is the firstborn child of four born to mutants Mystique and Beast. Known to their friends as Raven Darkholme and Doctor Hank McCoy, the pair’s love for one another was unlike anything that Charles Xavier and his mutants had ever seen before. With everything they had overcome together fighting to protect their world on numerous occasions, as the next generation began to grow up and take a bigger part in protecting people, they decided it was time to settle down. Raven, pursuing a career in social work in order to save children who were in the foster care system, and keep an eye out for any young mutants. Dr.Hank McCoy although he was a doctor, mainly focused on being the caregiver for the students at the school. Eventually, they both wed and shortly after had Dakota who was one of the most loved children on the compound.

❧ She grew up mainly on the compound but once she was old enough she began to attend school at a local public school allowing her to make friends. It wasn’t like people didn’t know mutants existed. They just didn’t know that she was part of a family of them.

❧ Her powers really began to show themselves when she was around 6 or 7 years old while playing hide and seek with some students at Charles Xavier’s School and shapeshifted into another student to avoid being found. Her parents only figured it out because when they began talking to who they thought was Scott Summers, he giggled at them and asked if he’d “won hide and seek”.

❧ Unfortunately, because she had to constantly hide her powers she became oddly wary of people, holding them at arm’s length in order to protect them, herself, and most importantly, her family. There didn’t seem to be any immediate repercussions for someone finding out, but she would never take the chance because she didn’t want to be the reason that mutants had to hide away who they really were.

❧ By age 10 she was able to copy voices, but not for very long and every year as she got older her abilities got better, as she’d practice with her mother, while also working on agility and strength training, and her father educating her on medicine when he had the chance. When she went away to school at NYU she focused on Criminal Justice with a minor in Biology and Forensic Chemistry, hoping one day to work as a CSI. Those chances were interrupted by Dr.Strange bringing her to the Academy.

powers and abilities:

❧shape-shifting: Gives her the ability to change her body, in size, shape, race, and gender to match another. She can mimic their voices easily, and convince most that she is in fact who she is impersonating. Her natural skin tone is blue just like her mother’s, and some say that she subconsciously shifted as a baby to look and have the appearance of a normal child. That being said before she shifts she must change to her actual body to the one that she is attempting to copy. There is no difference in her natural appearance versus the one she uses regularly- her skin just isn’t blue.

❧ healing: If she were to be injured her body can almost always heal itself a lot quicker, almost at an alarming speed. While the injuries still hurt just like anyone else, her body reacts to them a lot better and faster than the average human. Serious injuries such as losing a lib or shattering several bones will take time and energy to heal but they will heal in a few days unlike the weeks or months it would take someone without her abilities.

They look at lot like MENA MASSOUD and are 30, going by HE/HIM. They’re said to be PASSIONATE and are able to EXPERTLY SHOOT WITH VARIOUS FIREARMS FROM ALL OVER THE GALAXY & HAVE HUMAN/SPARTOI PHYSIOLOGY. Please join us in welcoming them aboard!

BACKGROUND:

born to meredith quill, his life was pretty normal for the most part. from a young age he was interested in sci-fi movies and after a trip to an amusement park, it was decided that he wanted to become an astronaut one day. while his life was pretty normal, quill had a tendency to be bullied and fought back, often resulting in a lot of bruises and injuries. then came the day his entire life changed. washing up for dinner after getting into it with another bully, two badoon aliens arrived and killed his mother in a vow to end the spartoi bloodline. when peter came into the kitchen and saw the aliens and his mother dead. he ran away and found a shot gun and two other devices. using the shot gun to kill the aliens, peter ran outside with the two odd looking objects he had found and was then abducted by yondu and the ravagers. 

growing up under yondu and the ravagers, peter learned how to be a thief and mastered the objects he had taken from the closet in his panic. eventually he had found out they were known as quad blasters and they only activated to his dna signature. he learned to live more for himself than anyone else, often choosing more selfish actions and doing as he pleased. 

taking the name star-lord, a nickname his mother had given to him. he built up a reputation for himself and eventually decided to betray the ravagers and take a job to steal an orb for himself. this leads him down the journey where he meets gamora, drax, groot, and rocket and the events of gotg 1 transpire. they find they have possession of an infinity stone and stand against ronan to save xandar. the group become known as the guardians of the galaxy and continue on together, saving the galaxy. or sort of saving the galaxy.

down the line he meets his father, j’son. a man that is emperor of spartax and an extremely corrupt person. his father wanted peter to rule beside him as prince of spartax with peter refusing. not too long after the two parted on bad terms, quill was captured by people working for his father in order for him to not only rule by his side, but to pay for crimes against the spartoi empire. peter managed to escape and broadcast to the entire planet how corrupt his father was and it incited a rebellion. his father fled and eventually took on the alias of mister knife in order to get revenge for what his son had done.

without his father ruling spartax, the job fell to quill. he refused to take on the job and instead handed it over to his half sister, victoria. quill didn’t want to rule an empire, he only wished to travel the galaxy and protect it with the guardians. 

when he learned about the academy, he couldn’t resist. terrans needed to know about the dangers in the galaxy and what better way to go about it than coming to the academy. 

powers and abilities:

human/spartoi physiology: he has a few superhuman abilities and is more durable than most humans due to his alien dna. quill also has longevity from this dna as spartoi live three times as long as normal humans do. due to his hybrid nature it’s unsure how he will age, but it is assumed to be at a decelerated rate. 

expert marksman: is able to use any firearm in the galaxy with expertise, though his quad blasters remain his favorite.

martial arts: skilled in many forms of fighting and an expert hand-to-hand combatant.

expert pilot: extremely skilled in piloting ships.

anything else? headcanons? you know what to do

not a headcanon but actually canon, there was a time in his life where peter was trying to stop the fallen one, and came to the realization that the energy of destroyed planets would harm him. in order to save the rest of the galaxy, peter made the choice to sacrifice a kree lunar colony (35,000 lives) in order to stop him. according to the nova corps, peter is considered to be a local threat level as he’s amassed a count of over 350,000 murders. 

he’s not a complete idiot all the time. while his plans can definitely seem out there and weird, he really is a talented tactician and strategist. 

tends to get overwhelmed by emotions at times. more often than not he bases things off of his emotions rather than his head, especially when they’re personal.

We’re thrilled to have BOBBY DRAKE, also known as ICEMAN, join us as FACULTY of the Academy, to teach MATHEMATICS & POWER MASTERY! They look at lot like JUSTIN BALDONI and are 31, going by HE/HIM. They’re said to be OUTGOING and are capable of CYROKINESIS.

biography: 

IN THE PAST:

Bobby is a native New Yorker from Long Island. His mutation first manifested while he was on a date with his girlfriend Judy Harmon, and a school bully attempted to attack them. Bobby panicked and accidentally encased the bully in a block of ice. 

An angry mob believing Bobby was dangerous showed up at his home, and Bobby was taken into police custody for his own protection. The incident made local news, causing Professor Charles Xavier to notice and send Scott Summers to recruit Bobby. 

Bobby was part of the inaugural class of The Xavier Institute, and while Hank McCoy remains his closest friend to this day, he’s maintained close relationships with Scott, Warren, and Jean as well. They are all his best friends.

For many years, Bobby fought alongside the X-Men against Magneto’s ‘Brotherhood’. 

Bobby branched out from the X-Men after deciding to attend UCLA for college. There, he fought alongside a team called the ‘Champions’. It was a pretty short-lived alliance, but impactful nonetheless. 

When the Champions disbanded, Bobby lacked a steady allegiance for a while, filtering between other teams and teaming up with individual heroes. 

During this time, Bobby met his time-displaced younger self, which finally gave him the push he needed to come out as gay. After this experience, he returned to The Xavier Institute to teach classes and focus on himself. 

CURRENTLY:

Bobby currently teaches mathematics and power mastery at The Academy and likely has since its inception. He’s definitely not a certifiable math genius like some other people on staff, so he probably teaches lower-level classes. 

He still considers himself to be a member of the X-Men, and they are the only team he claims formal allegiance to. 

Bobby has recently been dumped by his long-time boyfriend Judah due to their conflicting civilian/hero lifestyles. 

powers and abilities: Bobby can generate ice and snow as well as lower his own body temperature at will.

hello ! i’m really on brand with the whole posting a day and a half later ! below the cut in no particular order are a collection of four people who populate autumn valley ! they’re not very long because i’m still fleshing them out but i’ve added a couple of wanted connections below all of them that will hopefully be some good jumping off points for deeper connections & help build out their stories a little bit !

maeve has always believed in the occult, since she was just a little girl. 

her father claimed to know the warrens ( who the conjuring is based on ) and she’s always wanted to know more about the things that exist beyond this world.

little girls with wide imaginations oft have a tendency to explore what should be left alone, and mae knows all this quite well.

her dad passed when she was about six and she tried to use spirit boards to contact him. 

she was seven when she convinced herself that the board had actually worked, but it was also broken and shoved in the trash when she’d come home after school and had told her entire grade that she’d gotten it to work. 

she was a relatively mediocre student throughout school but mae always understood the importance of a good hustle and has always had at least two side hustles running. 

when she was a sophomore in high school, she got in trouble for selling canned soda a dollar cheaper than the vending machines. when she was a junior she had graduated to selling whatever fad pyramid scheme her mother had gotten involved in. 

they were never particularly wealthy, which might also contribute to why mae always wanted to have some kind of money making scheme going. 

funny thing, that feeling of desire; hunger grows deeply in one’s soul long after its been placated in the stomach.

she moved into her own apartment after her mother died about three years ago. mae was the only one who attended her funeral and it’s put some fear in her that she, too, will one day die alone.

she took to hecate’s hearth the moment it opened, always pestering zephyr for a job until they gave her one. 

she always desired a place to belong and the readings that they did for her meant the world and what was once considered a stepping stone now a secondary home, one she hopes to be as permanent as possible. 

wanted connections:

roommate ⋅ of any gender, this person more than likely responded to an ad mae had placed online and in the town newsletter. it wasn’t a particular long process from the time she met this person to the time they moved in, they clicked well and had a good enough understanding before signing the lease with her. 

platonic soulmate since high school ⋅ this is someone that mae was friends with in high school and has maintained an extremely tight relationship with. though they’re not living together ( they tried that once fresh out of high school and it’s safe to say they’ll never do that again ), they are the person that mae considers they’re rock and would fight to the death for.

charlie comes from a family with deadbeat parents and seven children and if you don’t think that toughens up somebody then you’re damn wrong. 

they’ve been working two jobs ever since they could remember, early mornings before school and well into the evenings after. after they left high school, they began an apprenticeship at indelible ink here in town and that’s been their primary source of income for the last seven-ish years.

they still keep up a season job at the briarpatch farms, helping out with all of their fall related activities so if they seem like a chicken with their head cut off some days, that would be why. 

while chris takes some care of their parents, charlie wants Nothing to do with them and only really cares about their siblings. 

they are their world and charlie will fight for them and their happiness until the day that they die. and if you think that’s some melodrama you are damn well wrong.

they honestly live in a lowkey shitty apartment but they’d rather save their money and scraping by for now is better than living in a nice place and then suddenly having it taken away from you with no warning.

charlie is ,,, extremely scared of stability and permanence, even though they crave it. they’re scared that they’re going to have something nice and all of a sudden it’s going to be gone, like they’ve put all of this work towards a happiness that they can’t eventually have.

wanted connections:

roommates ⋅ whether or not they actually see charlie often is something to be questioned, charlie is a courteous roommate. no major loud noises, especially not past ten pm or before eight am, no wild parties, no drugs, nothing. granted, charlie doesn’t give a fuck what their roommate does so long as they don’t lose the security deposit on the apartment. 

friends with benefits ⋅ charlie is terrified of permanence and keeping this person at an arm’s length away is something that tracks for that kind of mentality. 

★.⁙⁓ chris hemsworth, cis male, he/him, bisexual. ★.⁙⁓ introducing autumn valley’s very own jackson ellis ! he is a forty one year old mayor and a leo. jack can be found at crichton’s manor and their favorite autumn activity is throwing a halloween party at the mayoral manor. { written by hannah } * business subject to change !

jack has been mayor for the last three and a quarter-ish years and has lived in autumn valley his whole life.

before he was mayor he was the owner and primary manager for red’s tavern, now he just owns the place and stops by for a drink of his own every once in a while. 

he’s placed the business in the capable hands of his sister, the second oldest ellis child after jack himself.

the tavern has been in the family for generations and jack was always proud to own it. he was conscious to get to know a lot of people that way and even though it maintains a dive bar aesthetic, you’ll be hard pressed to find a cleaner bathroom or better junk food.

when he was setting up his mayoral campaign, he got a lot of votes because of his proximity to the people of the town through the bar, which is something he’s been conscious to make especially family friendly. 

lots of people had known him since he was little and even though he ran nearly unopposed, he was a fine breath of fresh air.

he’s ,,, disgustingly warm, honestly. he’s a single father of three children ( ages 16, 19, and 21 -- the eldest two are playable ! ) and he has five younger siblings of his own. 

big families are something that he’s always known and adored. the holiday season means the world to him and he always starts preparing for halloween in september ( though he is incredibly conscious about making sure he doesn’t skip thanksgiving in his excitement for christmas ).

wanted connections:

personal assistant ⋅ this is the person who helps jack find his head every morning. they know the ins and outs of his personal life and help him with just about everything he need, from making sure he gets his coffee in the morning to picking up his kids from school. they’re treated like a member of the ellis family and jack trusts them with his life. 

his flirtationship ⋅ this is someone that jack is progressively warming up to ( for as much warmer as a man like jack can get ). whether or not this grows into something more is something that we can plot out, but he’s extremely hesitant to start anything serious given that he’s concerned about his kids, his dedication to the town, and not actually being able to make time for the person he gets romantically involved with. preferably filled by someone 27+ and can be any gender.

belinda matthews is the daughter of a pair of lawyers, cecelia and andrew matthews. 

the matthews were well into their thirties by the time they’d had their first child, both of them on their second marriage, but neither one lacking in love for their daughter.

belle always knew she was loved and for that kind of home she will always be thankful. the relationship that she has with her parents is built on a deep foundation of trust and respect, something that she’s observed is not true for most of her friends her age. 

given this extremely tight relationship, she’s always been a rather confident kid and that translated to her schoolwork, too. 

her parents were lawyers and she wanted to follow in their footsteps as best as she could. 

it was at school that belle was reminded of how sincerely she loved history and she switched relatively early on from any kind of criminal justice or pre-law track to a history track.

she’s currently in her final year of her master’s degree, though she’s not totally sure what she’s going to do with it. 

she took up a job at crichton manor about two years ago to put a little extra cash in her pocket while she was working on her degrees and she absolutely loves giving tours around town.

We hear they’re an ADOPTED child of CHARLES XAVIER, and also answer to NOIRE. They’re said to be CLOSED OFF and are able to SUPERNATURAL SWORDSMANSHIP. Please join us in welcoming them aboard!

BASICS FOR CHARACTER:

name: chaerin xavier (formerly jung) alias: noire age: twenty-one face claim: jennie kim pronouns: she / her parents: charles xavier biological or adopted: adopted if they are a child: chaerin is enrolled in the academy and studying combat training & telekinesis (specifically related to blades of any kind).

BACKGROUND:

biography: chaerin’s birth seems rather normal compared to other mutants, but circumstances surrounding the pregnancy were anything but. her parents were scientists, and due to the nature of their job, both the mother-to-be and the twins she was carrying were exposed to multiple kinds of radiation. it went unnoticed until she fell sick on too many occasions, eventually leading to the premature birth of her two children and her untimely death.

life went on for the jung family, and those who knew the patriarch saw a change in him after his wife’s death. they watched him grow colder and closed off. watched as he refused all their help with raising his two children, claiming it was his responsibility to his wife. it seemed like a noble cause, and an expected reaction to such a tragedy. no one could have guessed what was really happening, the reason for all the privacy and secrecy. the jung twins weren’t normal, and only their father was aware of their mutation.

from a disgustingly young age, chaerin and her twin brother were treated as his test subjects rather than his children. unable to love them after they were the cause of his beloved’s death, he hired nannies to care for them, leaving him to focus on a newfound passion: mutants. with his kids both showing signs of powers before they could walk or talk, his work and life fused into one and became about them. maybe he thought he was doing them a favor, helping them grow, learning all he could about this unexpected development. but at it’s core, it was his own kind of punishment for taking away their mother.

when she was only ten months old, still crawling, her father found her in the kitchen, near the open dishwasher, knife in hand. immediate alarm set in until he realized she was unharmed. it seemed like nothing, just a coincidence, until the same thing happened a week later. but this time he watched as she threw the knife at the wall, the blade sticking into it perfectly. it wasn’t just unlikely now, it seemed impossible. but he already knew his kids could be capable of the impossible.

from then on, she was supervised constantly. a baby with a nearly magnetic attraction to knives wasn’t safe for anybody. but under controlled environments he tested her powers, let her play where she couldn’t hurt anyone. as she grew older, her powers grew with her. with her father to continuously push her, she learned more and more about what she could do. she learned how to properly wield a sword, how to throw knives, how to use an enemy’s own force against him. without knowing it, she was trained to be a weapon. and the head of the jung family knew more than the average person about weapons.

there was no rest, no love, no smiles. just tests, a new trial every day. some were medical; he wanted to know what made them who they were and how despite being twins their powers could be so vastly different. others were physical; he wanted to see how well they were developing. when she grew stubborn and refused to play along, he’d include her brother, using him as a threat to get her to comply. protecting her brother always came first; she’d easily sacrifice her own well-being to protect him. they were all each other had.

she was twelve when the avengers came to take her father away. he wasn’t a good man, they said. something chaerin was already aware of, even at a young age. he was creating weapons for villains and those against the law. they hadn’t expected to find two children, but it didn’t take long for them to figure out what to do with the twins. charles xavier stepped in, accepting the kids into his school. before she knew it, professor xavier had signed the adoption papers, accepting the twins into his family. taking responsibility for them. she knew it was his brother who had won him over; she had always been more stand-offish, sharp corners and blind rage. but a quick hug (something unheard of towards everyone other than her brother) showed her appreciation to the man.

at the school, with the help of her new father, she discovered her weapon of choice: her dual katana blades. he  even commissioned ones made out of vibranium so that they could absorb, store, and release kinetic energy in battle. she was able to train without the pressure of her birth father. she belonged to no one but herself, and she intended to grow her powers, pushed even further by the thought of revenge against the man who had nearly broken her and her brother. even though she was learning about her powers, what her father put her and her brother through was their own personal hell. 

chaerin only agreed to go to the academy because of her brother. there was no way they’d be seperated, and she didn’t necessarily care about the noble act of being a hero. she was never much of one to look up to, never big on saving anyone other than her twin. but she tried for him. and (even though she’d never admit it) she wanted to try for the man that took them in when they had nothing.

powers and abilities: supernatural swordsmanship - the ability to wield a sword with supernatural proficiency in speed, power, and skill, allowing them to perform seemingly impossible feats with ease, such as cutting through near invulnerable or intangible materials, blocking or deflecting things that would normally be impossible to block/deflect.

STRENGTHS:  + enhanced agility & power - when it comes to wielding a blade of any kind, chaerin is faster, stronger, and more reactive to what is happening around her. her dual katanas can barely be seen as their slicing through the air, seeking out their target. + deflection - her blades can be used not only offensively but from a defense stand point as well. her agility and power combine to make it seem effortless to deflect projectiles (or enemies in general) coming her way. + kinetic energy absorption - her katanas absorb and build up energy from hits they take (similarly to black panther’s suit) which she can eventually use to deal a stronger blow against enemies. + blade telekinesis - includes (but is not limited to) summoning a weapon or controlling the path of a thrown bladed weapon.

WEAKNESSES: - certain off-world metals and materials are unable to be penetrated by her blades. - a weapon is required. while she’s done her best to train her physical form over the years, she’s comparably useless without some kind of blade to wield against other supernatural beings. - there is no elevated healing. chaerin heals like an average person and has spent months out of commission due to pushing herself too hard and breaking something. - has trouble pulling back. her power is strong, and chaerin isn’t always the best at reeling it in when appropriate (though it’s something she’s working on in the academy). - she’s not immune to her blades. her over-zealousness has often ended with deep gashes and required stitches.

what have they brought with them to this universe/timeline: her dual katanas, a specially carved dagger that her birth-father originally gifted her, a journal that she writes in from time to time.

anything else? headcanons? you know what to do: + seojoon is her twin brother and she’s hella protective of him and will kill you if you hurt him, she does not care about the repercussions and no one is an exception. + she only wears black, it’s almost always some kind of loungewear, and she rarely wears any kind of makeup. honestly puts no effort into how she looks and finds it pointless.

We hear they’re a BIOLOGICAL child of FRANK CASTLE + KAREN PAGE, and also answer to TBA. They’re said to be MAGNANIMOUS and are able to POSSESS SUPERIOR HEARING ABILITIES AND DURABILITY. BACKGROUND:

biography: 

born to frank castle and karen page, ezra castle learned quickly how to distinguish between the good and the bad around him.

BASICS FOR CHARACTER: Name: Jane Foster Alias: n/a Age: 35; June 9th - Gemini Face claim: Natalie Portman Pronouns: she/her Class: Astrophysics

BACKGROUND: (Pretty much MCU here)

Jane Foster attended Culver University and has become one of its most famous graduates - a world renowned astrophysicist.  She’s dedicated herself to science for the most part and even builds a lot of her own equipment because the generic stuff just doesn’t work for her.  Her eyes were always turned up to the skies - and that’s how she ended up getting involved in world changing events.

Along with her mentor, Erik Selvig, and her assistant, Darcy Lewis, Jane made first contact with Asgard in ages - when Thor pretty much fell at their feet.  Or rather, into their van.  At first, she thought him no more than some drunk lost in the desert night, but the events that followed opened her eyes to even more than she’d ever expected.  That led to run-ins with SHIELD - which didn’t win the organization any brownie points with the infuriated scientist when they stole her stuff.  It also led to her meeting Sif and the Warriors Three as well as remaining in town when the Destroyer came.  She helped with the evacuation and watched Thor basically die, come back, and fight to victory over the giant robot.  

She might have fallen a little in love with him . . . or maybe even a lot.  But then he left and didn’t return.

Entering into a wary partnership with SHIELD, Jane became something of an expert adviser regarding Asgardian cosmology.  That partnership meant SHIELD considered her one of the assets, so when the Chitauri invasion happened, she’d already been “invited” to Tromso to “consult”.  In reality, she and Darcy had been moved for their own safety.

Jane was not impressed when she discovered the truth and she tried to move on.

Then came the Convergence, the Aether, the Dark Elf invasion . . .

Let’s just say that it’s been busy.

Powers and abilities: Genius level intellect

Headcanons: Jane’s absent-minded. If she’s not focused on science or teaching, she might go off on a sudden tangent as an idea has occurred to her.  She’s even been known to walk off in the middle of a conversation. 

Despite that, she’s a real friend - if someone she cares about is having a bad day, she’s the first one to show up with ice cream or margaritas - whatever the situation calls for.

BACKGROUND: (Some basics borrowed from Mia so the sisters match.)

Gabrielle Sarah Rogers was born an adventurous child.  Named for two people from her father’s past, she enjoyed exploring things, poking and prodding at anything and everything that crossed her path.  Her father used to joke that she would turn him gray.  It made her laugh, but she’d happily go about chasing the next shiny thing that caught her eye.  

At nine years old, everything changed.  Her father went to return the Infinity Stones and never came back.  Not long after, her mother died in a car accident.  Her father’s disappearance and her mother’s death really left their mark on Gabi. It caused her to lose a good deal of her adventurous side. She felt responsible for taking care of her younger siblings. Even after the adoption, she could be a bit of a little mother.

Eventually, she came to accept the loss of her parents, and she opened herself to truly accepting her adopted parents.  They’d always been a part of her life, and she loved them, but it took her time to heal.  When she did, she finally took their names and began to refer to them as Mom and Dad - though never Mama or Daddy.  

All of her energy needed to go somewhere, so Gabi focused on her studies and began to excel in academics.  Given how often the people around her would get into scrapes or situations, she decided to go into medicine - that way she could still help even though she didn’t have any desire to be a hero or an agent.  Her adopted parents made sure she could defend herself, and they realized she had leadership potential - even if she didn’t see it herself.  They encouraged her to learn chess, helping her exercise her gift for strategy.

When presented with the chance of her universe’s destruction, Gabi had to take the chance.  She couldn’t just let it get wiped out without trying to do something.

Powers and abilities: Enhanced physiology - peak physical ability. Physical healing is a bit faster than normal, but not regenerative. Highly resistant to disease.

Personality: Gabi tends to be level-headed, a quiet and reserved person.  She tends to take on responsibility whether it is hers or not - taking care of people and trying to fix things.  If her siblings need her, she’ll drop anything to help them.  Warm, serene, and inclusive, perhaps, but Gabi’s also been known to be stubborn, implacable, and unforgiving - particularly of harm done to her family.
