My endo is really pushing for me to do weekly injections instead if biweekly bc it's better for keeping ur levels stable instead of dropping off. She says how it's better for mood and metabolism and stuff, but (and I've told her this) I don't think I've ever noticed any fluctuations of that stuff and my injections. Not saying they don't happen, but that if they do, it's not causing any problems for me.
Afaik weekly is the more standard approach but for a lazy soul like me I really hate doing anything weekly. Biweekly has been very good to me, in terms of I don't have to do it all the damn time (my perception of weekly tasks). I already went and bought new syringes for the weekly dose but like, I'm. I might just, not.. hm.
She also tries to get all her patients on subcutaneous bc the literature on it is very encouraging and I agree that if it's just as effective as intramuscular and way more convenient then I'd love to stop contorting and pulling every muscle in my back and chest tryna stick a needle in my ass.
I think once I switch to subcu I'll be more inclined to do weekly, but that's not because of the contorting. My roommate likes to this thing called, getting the countertop in the bathroom all narsty and I realllyy hate cleaning it weekly. I used to clean it weekly and that was not working for my full time job life. I used to do my injections in my bedroom before I moved, when my bedroom was actually a bedroom, but now it's too small to do anything other than sit on the bed. With subcu tho, I could probably do that sitting/lying on the bed and so I could start doing my shots in my room again and the bathroom problem is solved.
Another problem with weekly is I don't like doubling my medical waste.
