He knew Azula and her friends were in the guarden but he needed to see Lu Ten as fast as posible. He’d just returned from a trip to the northeastern Earth Kingdom and he promised to show Zuko his knife trick when he got back. Besides, they were probably occupied doing whatever crazy thing Azula wanted to do today. Still, he should have been paying more attention.

He was only halfway through the gardens when he heard the sound of slippers running over grass and before he could even think to turn to try and fend her off small hands were knocking him forwards. He fell a sharp tug on his ribbon and Ty Lee’s voice was giggling in his ear.

“HAIR TIME!” She called as he yelled and black strands were swept into his face as he fell into the dirt. He heard Azula’s laughter join Ty Lee’s and looked over to see her standing with Mai under one of the trees at the edge of the guarden.

Damn it.

His face burned at the indignity.
