having multiple a/c's down across all three of my properties has me fantasizing over a savior complex.
a hvac savior. specifically.
and the other side of this is me finding big strong men of war deal with normal civilians and human anger over accommodated technology.
hvac task force 141 x saving my fuckin sanity bc they fixed all the down ac's and single handedly knocked it out with no sweat.
if you can't tell I'm having writing thoughts. might actually elaborate further. but we know how that goes guys.
me who hasn't written even since the last idea...
why is it that SOMETIMES when the ac kicks on, the whole house gets flooded with vinegar smell? always when i'm home alone, and there are plenty of times when it kicks on WITHOUT any smell. it makes me so sick i can't eat and have to go outside to breathe for a bit, and then it's gone well before my husband gets home to check the vents. we replaced all our ac stuff and ducts just 2 years ago. everything looks fine. WHAT THE FUCK IS THE VINEGAR SMELL AND WHY DOES IT PLAGUE ME SPECIFICALLY. HOW DO I MAKE IT STOP.
update; okay we at least figured out it's the hot air not the cold air and now the husband has witnessed it, but still no idea what's causing it.

Navigating HVAC Upgrades: Creating Year Around Comfort
Here in the Pacific Northwest, where the weather can change unexpectedly, your home’s HVAC system serves as a foundation, guaranteeing comfort and reliability year-round. Join us as we delve into the world of HVAC improvements, leading you through the process of upgrading your system to establish a cozy and inviting atmosphere for your family throughout every season.
Smart Thermostat
Introducing smart thermostats to your home is a fantastic upgrade. As a homeowner, you’re probably well-acquainted with traditional thermostats, the ones that let you tweak the temperature using a control panel on your wall. However, a smart thermostat takes things further by connecting your HVAC system to the internet, enabling you to monitor and control your home’s temperature remotely using your phone.
These smart thermostats not only monitor and adjust your home’s ambient temperature but also send signals to your heating and cooling system to make changes according to your preset schedule, current weather conditions, and even the number of people in your home. If you’re not keen on creating schedules or programming your thermostat, many Wi-Fi-enabled thermostats can learn your habits and preferences over time. Simply allow your new thermostat to develop a schedule for you over a couple of weeks. If it’s too cold or hot, simply open the app and adjust the temperature until it’s just right for you.
Smart Vents to Connect with Smart Thermostat
Smart vents are a modern replacement for traditional air vents in your home, linking up with a smart thermostat for enhanced functionality. By integrating these two smart devices, the vents gain improved control over the airflow within each room. By learning patterns along with preset settings, the vents are capable to self-regulate (open or close) with assistance from the smart thermostat. This not only enhances comfort but also optimizes energy usage, potentially reducing your utility bills.
Variable Speed Blower
A variable speed blower motor adjusts its speed levels to precisely control the distribution of heated or cooled air in your home, leading to improved regulation of temperature levels and reducing noise. If your home is newer, your furnace and AC units likely feature a variable speed blower. However, if your unit is 10-15 years old, it probably utilizes one or two-stage blowers, which may not offer the same efficiency and comfort benefits. Switching to a variable speed blower can lead to enhanced energy savings and a cozier indoor atmosphere. If you’re uncertain about the type of blower your home has, reach out to Nelke Heating and Cooling, and we’ll gladly assist you.
