"don't assign human morality to non human things" is so true except when it comes to printers. they know what they are, they understand dilemmas and ethics and morality. they choose to be how they are, they choose to be evil, at their very core they are rotten

finished my term paper📑

I did it!! 4623 words, 13 pages in total and 2 Saturday nights spent actually writing the thing. I’m pretty happy with the results and hope my teachers thinks so too.

Gotta talk about the fails of it though- I forgot all human needs and was starving afterwards…had Burek as a midnight snack :) then I wanted to print out my term paper but guess what: my printer died on page 3/13. mid sentence. great. it keeps trying to start printing but then it crashes and tries again and so on…I’ll try to fix it tomorrow morning, for now I sent my teacher a pdf so I at least have it handed in that way.

Iago has the same essence as a printer. His last words being "From this time forth, I'll never speak word" has the same energy as my printer telling me it's out of ink/paper in my time of need when it's been out of use for a month

Someone order old art ? I made these in May 2022 to include in my SWA zine application but never actually posted them. ( that is to say i tried, panicked and then deleted it... )

My mom loves her buy-nothing group. She loves a good bargain and you can't beat free.

This week she picked up a HP ink tank printer that had "wifi problems"

She had no intention of fixing that herself. She called me to fix it. "The wifi just stopped working on it one day and they couldn't get it to work again" was all I was told

I got it working in 45 minutes

I commandeered my dad's laptop and downloaded the HP app (🤮) on it and tried the setup. Couldn't connect.

I printed the information page. The wifi was turned off. There were Instructions on the key combo to turn it on and a print the Wi-Fi setup guide

I turned it on and printed the setup guide

Of the 3 pages of methods I saw USB cable and jumped on that immediately

Suddenly HP App could see the printer! Big shock. USB never lets me down. #Hardwired for life.

I went into the printer setting and added it to our wi-fi

I printed another test page. Wi-Fi is on and it has an IP adress

I unplugged the USB and tried to print. No dice. It didn't add network printing to the computer.

I try to add the printer again

It can't find it on the wifi

I punch in the IP address that it just printed out into the search bar

It found it instantly

It took 5 min to add the drivers

I tried to print

Printer is not in the printer list. It's hiding in the more options page. I print a test page from the laptop

I go on my phone and print a photo from my gallery

This printer is totally fine and has 0 issues.

We are in 2024, getting close to 2025 and printers still don't work properly, I've trying to scan a drawing for 15 minutes and the damn thing practically told me to fuck off and wait till it wants to start functioning again
