          YUP,  IT’S  TARA.  For  a  hot  minute,  Lilly  had  almost  been  doubting  her  own  vision.  It  was  hard  not  to,  in  their  world.  NOTHING  GOOD  EVER  REALLY HAPPENED  ANYMORE.  Not  compared  to  the  chaos,  the  blood.  The  fight  for  survival.  The  loss  that  came  with  such  a  fight.  Believing  anything  other  than  disappointment  could exist only led to..                   well,  FURTHER  DISAPPOINTMENT.  But  then  Tara  spoke  and  she  knew.  A SISTER  ALWAYS  DID.  It  was  a  conversation  the  pair  been  having  for  years.  A  conversation  she  thought,  up  until  a  handful  of  seconds  ago,  they’d  never  get  to  have  again.  ‘ You  bet  I  am.  I’M  YOUR  BIG  SISTER.  If  I  don’t  wash  that  mouth  out  with  soap,  who  will? ’  Scolding  words  are  softened  with  a  smile  that’s  creeping  out.  It’s  bright,  genuine  and  SO  UNBELIEVABLY  FOND  as  the  realisation  that  this  is  real  washes  over  her  a  second  time.  This  is  Tara.  This  is  her  little  sister.  ‘ Although,  I  suppose  under  these  circumstances,  I  could  make  a  rare  exception. ’ 

Arms  are  quick  to  embrace  the  other  woman,  returning  her  hug  with  a  squeeze  that  was  just  as  tight.  ‘ I  can’t  believe  this  is  happening. ’  Words  are  whispered  into  Tara’s  shoulder  and  she  pulls  her  even  closer.  SHE  DOESN’T  EVER  WANT  TO  LET  GO.  Doesn’t  want  them  to  ever  lose  each  other  again.  Enough  time  had  been  lost.  ‘ Shit. ’  Now  she’s  the  one  cussing  and  she  can’t  bring  herself  to  care.  Grip  lets  up,  with  Lil  drawing  back  to  steal  another  glance  at  those  familiar  features.  ‘ LOOK  AT  YOU.  You’re  all  grown  up.  When  did  this  happen? ’  Tara  hadn’t  been  a  child  for  a  while  now,  but  it’s  still  impossible  not  to  notice  the  changes  that  have  taken  place.  ‘ I’ve  missed  so  much. ’  Gentle  hands  lift  to  cup  the  other  woman’s  cheeks. ‘ I  KNEW  YOU  MADE  IT  OUT.  Somehow,  I  knew.  You  were  always  the  STRONGEST  Chambler. ’
