My coworker and I were talking about how weird it is that people go to bed fully dressed, coiffed, and covered in jewelry in period dramas and then she said that Bollywood does it too, but then added that her Punjabi grandparents always slept in their day clothes with all their jewelry on and... I still don't fully grasp that concept.
You mean the outdoors is in your bed?!?! Like the clothes of the outdoors have accompanied you to bed with their outdoor stuff on them?
She was telling me that it's so hot you don't really have blankets and stuff to get dirty but I'm still perplexed.
Anyway, she was annoyed because apparently Bollywood women go to bed with full jewelry including nose rings with a chain and that would be painful. This we agree upon.
I am seeing her again on Sunday and I will try to more fully understand this matter.
