Unbeknownst to the divine vampire, Nashuja had been in Beacon Hills for a while. Learning her surroundings and establishing herself first was important above all else; she needed it to seem as if she’d arrived for other reasons that seemingly stalking Olivia.
The old mortician had scored a better job closer to her ageing parents, and Anne Young blew the competition away for the open position. It was a flawless transition, and Nashuja couldn’t afford to ruin it on alerting those who knew her too early.
And now the time had come. A rather apt time, she thought. Valentines Day, a day of romance seemed so fitting to reacquaint herself with one of the truly few people she’d ever felt love for. The type of love that time never seemed to damage or decay. It just kept on beating within her.
Entering the club, Nashuja looked around listlessly as she made her way to the bar. Faces she didn’t know were visible through the gloom, but none stood out like the powerful form of her favourite vampire: oh, Olivia.
A woman who deserved worship. Who deserved the attention of others. Hair that deserved a soft caress and lips Nashuja wouldn’t hesitate to kiss again if Olivia gave her permission.
“Olivia?” She called out through the music, perfectly feigned shock colouring her voice and face. “My, my, Olivia! You’re looking well.”
