they did it cause she drew a canon fat character thin. i COMPLETELY think bullying her about it and threatening her till she tried to commit suicide is disgusting. at the same time tho as someone who is fat it sucks when fat chars are drawn thin to make them ‘prettier’. but i would never bully anyone over it ever.

Thank you for the explanation, Moth Queen. I was confused as to where the anger about the art were coming from before.

What happened??

Nothing that involves me personally, just something I was shocked by and felt like commenting on.

Basically (from what I can gather), a girl drew a character from the cartoon Steven Universe but with a different look than that in the show and she started being bombarded with hate and threats and messages. It all gets to her, she attempts suicide and ends up in a hospital (where the harassment continues into taunting).

I usually keep my nose out of anything to do with “fandoms” and the sort, but I just can’t believe people would drive a wee girl to suicide because they didn’t like their art. This doesn’t happen often, does it?

I usually wait and let the photos simmer before I post them, which often leads to me forgetting to do so, but it was actually your reply that made me decide to post them as I get them! Judging by the notes, I’d say it was a much wiser decision than waiting, so thank you!
