Hey y’all. Idk how this works, but I grew up reading Tumbler posts on Pinterest and thought that it was about time I did the whole “sign up for a social media account behind my parents back” sort of thing. I just wanted an outlet that no one knew about so I could be free to post and read what I want with no upfront judgement from the ones I know and love. Here are just some quick facts about me.
- I love math. I love numbers and algebra and simple factoring. Math is known as a universal language, and I’d much prefer to talk with number and graphs than worry about my grammar. I do hope to major in it someday and have a job that allows me to math everyday.
- I’m an IB kid. I’m a senior in the DP program, and while I complain about it I do love it. I like the tough curriculum and doing the IA’s. Also my EE is on the history of Euler’s number, so yes I am one of those kids who chose to put themselves though hell for my EE.
- Dinosaurs and dragons are rad. They look so tough on the outside but we all know that they are secretly softies on the inside. I am allergic to cats, but hope to have hairless cats one day. I’ve only ever had dogs, but I do think that I am more of a cat person, at least when their fur isn’t giving me rashes.
- My parents divorced when I was 6. They split me 50/50, and can barely be in the same room with one another. They are both remarried and either married into more children or had more of their own, but I’m still the oldest at both households. So. Much. Fun. (Not)
- I like tennis, but I recently took up snowboarding and love it. I’m hoping with the winter months coming in that I’m able to go out to the slopes more and learn how to not fall on my ass as much as I used to.
- Gravity Falls. Miraculous Ladybug. The Office. Friends.
So yah there is a little bit about me. Sorry if this is odd or whatnot. Just trying something new. Bye y’all!
To hell with reasons and logic, in 2020 we be angsty on tok essay.
2019 August 3 || IB BIO HL
This is my IB Bio HL mesocosm. His name is Leroy.
I made a big mistake. I completely forgot to start him until yesterday. School starts in less than a week, and I have to have at least 2 weeks of data... yikes. Slowly learning to adjust, adapt, and accept.
I’ve literally lost my ESS IA
I had to do an experiment of some growing seeds and... this is the third time I try to do it. But the first one I put it on the top of my parents’ car (like Hannah Baker with the money) and it lost. The second time, the seeds floated in the mud like fishes and this time they didn’t grow. I feel like a bad mother...
Everybody needs to know the perfect web to get textbooks for free.
You all know how much I love free education. Basically, because all the webs I post here are allowing a lot of people the knowledge they need.
Openstax.org is an organization supported by Melinda and Bill Gates. It has a collection of textbooks for AP, college... but the info is super cool if you need to do your Extended Essay or your Internal Assessment. They are written by university teachers and are continuously updating new versions.
You can buy a book for more or less 50 dollars or read it online. You can also download a PDF so you can read it when you have no WiFi.
If you know some useful web and you want to share it, just tell me or submit it to myibdiary.com/submit.
See you,
My IB Diary
What subjects do you take?
Humm… I do IB at the same time that the normal ‘bachillerato’ in Spain, so I have a lot of subjects. I’ll tell you the IB ones.
My subjects are Spanish Literature (HL), Maths (SL), Physics (SL), ESS (SL), ToK (SL), English (HL) and Philosophy (HL).
Thanks for asking!
So many things to do!
Oh my God. IAs, the extended essay, so many books to read... I don’t have time!
