Challenged myself to make it a different character per box with no overlaps all my reasonings are under the cut

Silver and Blaze are in both current and plot, thats why they are creating a small version of themselves in the other box the subtext of their story in 06 and their narrative motifs are so fascinating to me, and i haven't stopped being obsessed so yeah, current faves

Big is a character who never ceases to bring me joy, he's funny and a delight. i think hes the reason i like fishing minigames in video games.

Metal sonic appeals to me because i genuinely love looking at robots, i have a facination with mechanics and and machines.

I think I've always liked tails, i love the little mechanic guy. probably cause i wanted to be an engineer before i got into art

Iblis. has done many horrible things. and is a god of disaster. and is responsible for the very broken future my faves hail from. but thats just a big dog, blaze should tame that big dog. also i think the relationship of him and blaze is interesting to explore.

tangle, is a hyperactive bright eyed character with a heart of gold, she loves jokes and puns but also genuinely cares so much about the people around her, but isnt perfect, shes made some critical mistakes but shes grown and become better from it. and i see myself in that a lot.

whenever i played heroes as a kid, i always found myself gravitating to chaotix. purely cause there was a crocodile and i loved dinos and lizards as a child. also one of my first ever cosplays was vector.

my friend @atlasllm , adores infinite, and indirectly was the one who made me a super fan of the jackal and his ship with mephiles so much. we love this edgey dog who takes himself way too seriously and deep diving into his psyche.

Marine is an Australian coded raccoon with water powers and a knack for machines, shes so fucking fun but we havent seen her in a proper game since her debut game. bring her out of the vault sonic team.

out of all the characters in the sonic franchise. i think the main man himself is one who would bring the most good out of the world. and with how shitty things are now a days, we could use the spirit of freedom running around.

tikal deserves better in the sense that shes been under used since sa1, id like to see her talk to knuckles through the master emerald, be a guide for other characters tied to the emeralds. i want to see her thoughts on the koko and the ancients, you already had her ghost interact with the cast in sa1, why not keep it up??

Forgot I drew this like. Half a year ago 🤣 This is a first attempt at designing a more "Mephiles-like" form for Isol. I'm still on the fence about a few details (namely the red bottoms of his shoes), but this is largely what an Isol with his identity revealed might look like!

Often shown/implied to like Apples(he ate apple flavored calorie bar rations in the 06 Iblis future according to Sonic Channel Sonic Pict) suggesting they are his favorite food. Apples also symbolize sweetness, beauty, and hope for prosperity in Japanese, Chinese and Jewish culture.

Do you ever think that maybe the reason silver’s personality changes so much through canon is because the timeline changes, meaning his childhood changes too?

Depending on the timeline, it’s very possible that his memory of being a kid is very different. His morals, personality, and memory are completely different and through the IDW comics and games, he acts differently. Like how his first appearance is him being stubborn and angry and his IDW appearance is him being chipper and bright-eyed.

He acts differently because his life constantly changes and his upbringing is different in every single one.
