Ichiji VS The Harkmall Romance World AU that @poisonzeth and I created! (more under cut)

Central idea: What if the universe keeps sending Ichiji situations that will make him the villain of a christmass Harkmall movie?

The argument:

-Ichiji realises hes supposedly a minor character in a universe that will make him a pawn to a hallmark love story, which is cool because he's safe most time of the year. Except during Christmass. Christmass is wartime.

-A lifetime of watching Harkmall movies (Sora's influence, Sanji's romanticism and Yonji's enjoyment) works on his favour too, and helps him understand his role based on his specs: Either he goes to a hometown and discovers the joy of christmass thanks to a local girl, or he is the work obsessed villain that gets his partner stolen by the hometown girl

-Except that. Hes queer. And in a very happy relationship with the kind of man who looks like the perfect male lead of this type of shitty movies (fuck Ace and his cowboy aesthetic)

-So Ichiji keeps seeing those red hallmark flags and either avoids them or strategizes to counterattack them, because he's gonna marry Ace or so help him!

Au modern Aceichi: Where Ichiji is the vocalist of a band called "Germa 66" with his brothers, and Ace falls in love with him at first sight.

One day, Luffy forces him to go to a concert of a band he doesn't know because a friend of his brother's is the guitarist, so Ace has no choice but to go. All of his brother's friends are there, even Law.

When the concert starts, Ace in the front row, he manages to make eye contact with a pair of blue eyes that leave him breathless. While Ichiji sings like a damn angel, Ace is completely smitten. Was it his idea, or had Ichiji been watching him all night too?

All Ace knows is that he's begging Luffy for that beautiful angel's phone number and that Sabo is going to make fun of him.
