His head was still hurting and with every step he felt as if his stomach would turn. Noah took a deep breath, hoping the fresh air would cure his hangover but he kind of new that it was a lost cause. He was no longer a teenager, it would take him at least two days so nurse the remnants of the Spring Festival and he could curse himself for it having gone too far. But instead of hiding in his darkened apartment he had taken to the streets of Claybourne, heading towards the park. His dog needed to go out after all. With a cap on he tried his best to avoid his usual spots, hoping he would not run into anyone he knew.
But then he rounded a corner, and there she was. Noah cursed silently, considering to just backtrack and take a different path. He could not remember all of their conversation and he already felt embarassed enough. But before he could make a decision Varus barked beside him and Ella turned towards them. “Thanks buddy”, he whispered to his dog, before stepping towards her. “Hey there, how are you doing?” Noah forced a smile.
