hate when mummy movies use Imhotep as the big bad. He was an architect. Imagine a mummy movie but the mummy is Frank Lloyd Wright. And he was buried at the House On The Rock. Ok nevermind that would be a sick ass movie.

Platonic Dark Father Imhotep x Reincarnated Daughter Reader
In the shadowed halls of ancient Egypt, under the reign of Pharaoh Seti I, Imhotep served as High Priest with unwavering devotion.
But his heart belonged to Anck-su-namen, the Pharaoh's forbidden mistress. In a moment of passion and betrayal, Imhotep slew the Pharaoh, only to be discovered by his own guards.
As punishment, he was buried alive, mummified in eternal torment, his soul cursed to wander the sands.
Yet, in those final, agonizing hours before the curse sealed his fate, Imhotep had a secret in his life: his young daughter, you, born from a quiet union in his youth, hidden away to protect you from the court's dangers.
You were only a child of thirteen when the betrayal unfolded, a beautiful girl with kind eyes and personality.
For him, you were everything, but in the chaos, she vanished into the crowds, your fate unknown. Imhotep's last thoughts, before the scarabs devoured his senses, were of your safety. If only he could have shielded you from the world's cruelty.
Centuries passed. The world changed, but souls endured. In the year 1926, amid the dusty ruins of Hamunaptra, Imhotep awoke from his tomb, revived by meddling archaeologists.
His first goal burned fierce: to resurrect Anck-su-namen, his eternal love.
Yet, In the bustling streets of Cairo, amidst the chaos of his pursuit, Imhotep spotted you. A thirteen-year-old Egyptian girl, wandering the markets with a group of your friends.
Imhotep approached you one evening, his form partially restored, cloaked in black to avoid the prying eyes of Rick O'Connell and his band of treasure hunters. He cornered you in a quiet alley.
"My daughter… It is I. Your father, Imhotep. The gods have returned me to you. Do you not feel it? The bond of blood, the pull of spirit?"
You froze, wide-eyed, pulling back from his touch. His face, half-decayed, half-normal was monstrous to you.
His words, fevered and strange, felt like madness.
"You must have mistaken me for someone else," you said quickly, fear fueling you.
"Please, let me go back to my parents and siblings."
Your rejection was a deadly poison.
His hand fell, trembling in the air before curling into a fist. His gaze, burning with hurt and envy, followed as you darted away to join your companions.
Parents, and siblings? family which is not his.
A family that did not deserve you.
For centuries, Imhotep had endured torment and death, yet none of it hurt so deeply as the sight of you walking away from him, and not recognising him as your father.
He will kill your family then take you back as his daughter in the same way he got rid of your mother's family who tried to take you away from him when she passed away, but first he needs to regain his full strength, and revive Anck-Su-Namun.
Yet Anck-Su-Namun, who is beautiful, cruel, dangerous.
She clung to Imhotep like a serpent wrapping itself around prey. In your past life, you saw how he looked at her.
The kind of devotion that could kill a man.
And when the moment came, it almost did.
Inside the crumbling ruins, the ground shook as the sands raged.
The temple walls broke apart as the Army of Anubis was destroyed, and Anck-Su-Namun only stared at him. Imhotep dangled over the endless pit, reaching for her, calling out.
"Anck-Su-Namun!"
She turned, met his gaze, heard his call for help, and ran.
Leaving him to fall.
You should have stayed hidden, you should have let him go.
That was what your mind screamed, but your body moved on its own.
Your heart the one that carried your memories of the past buried under years of silence, tore against your chest.
Of course you remembered him, but you were granted a second chance at life and you were afraid to lose your second chance of peace and happiness.
"Baba!"
Your hands caught his wrist just before he slipped, his eyes widened, not at being saved, but at hearing you calling him father even if not in the ancient language you once spoke.
His grip trembled as though he feared you would vanish if he held too tightly. "You remember.”
You bit your lip, holding him with all the strength your young body had.
Tears stung your eyes, ones you hadn’t realized you’d been holding back for years.
"I didn’t forget, I just didn't want to remember, it hurt too much."
The temple shook harder, stones crashing around you, but in that moment, none of it mattered. As his hand closed firmly around yours, warm despite the death that clung to him.
"No, don't!"
Evelyn tries to warn you that Imhotep is evil, but you ignore her.
You pulled with all your might, and somehow, impossibly, you managed to drag him up.
The first thing he does is that he pulls you into a hug as you hug him back.
He pulls back away from you.
"Let's start a new life together, just you and I"
