tv shows lied about how dramatic it is (or maybe it was because the case was so boring)

the issue was that a resident had ordered trees to be chopped down on a condominium land without a mandate and when my mum argued the value of the trees and said that pinetrees can grow 600 years and the trees that were chopped down were around 100 years the man who chopped down the trees was like “they grow for about 150-200 years before dying” and i was like o shit and after the hearing i googled the lifespan of pinetrees in the arctic and it is 500-800 years and i cannot let my mother be disrespected like this

also it was kinda hilarious how the defendant demanded the community association to pay for all her expenses and her lawyer had billed for 18 hours and the judge told the lawyer that “judging by your arguments it seems like you worked for no more than 9 hours, that’s all you can reasonably bill” which is the funniest way i’ve seen anyone getting told that they suck at their job
