Tatiana wanted to check up on Laussa. She knew the other woman was more powerful than her, but she was also more an century younger, so Tatiana felt a sense of responsibility for her. “How are you?” she asked, when she finally located Odin’s youngest child. “Just so you know, things aren’t always like this.”

“I need a drink” said Roy as he walked into the quarters he shared with his husband. “Why is it that no matter how much I drill into the kids the importance of safety, I never seem to make it more than two months into a semester without someone coming close to losing a eye?” He sighed and grabbed a beer from the fridge. Popping the tab on the can, he said to Jason “How was your day?”

He doesn’t do impulsive things very often. He learned very quickly that they normally don’t end well, if his last experience with another male was any indication. Still, there’s something that makes him surge forward when he sees the other, connecting their lips without even saying hello. It’s a quick kiss, although not exactly as chaste as it should have been. Pulling back, Yari’s already blushing a pale shade of pink, eyes wide. “I’m–I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have–” he’s just glad no one else was around to see it.

Technically he was still supposed to be wearing a brace, but Yari was tired of immobility. The doctor had told him it was healed, he just had to take it easy. Still, he hadn’t been able to legitimately write in his journal for weeks, and the scrawlings were pouring out of him now despite the pain radiating through his arm. He hissed after a moment, catching the other’s eyes and immediately snapping at him, although it was more defensive than legitimately angry. “What? What are you looking at? I’m fine. Just–what?”
