I hope* that the fact that the special uses an entirely typeface confirms my theory that it was either custom for the show, or no one is quite sure what was used, because that would mean the best I can do is trace it myself.
subtle differences in the title card (original first):
more obvious in the credits where it seems like they used cooper black (original first):
it's close, but you can see is either a different face entirely or was customized for the show to create that stenciled look - which it looks like they did make an effort to edit for the title card above, i guess because it's so iconic?
the original wordmark is actually quite different from what you would get with cooper black:
so I don't think the og production traced and then altered, as it seems like it might be the case for the the credit type. either a different starting point was used, or it's something completely one of a kind.
