since I didn't write much or post another fic today (I have some more Maekar ones I want to write and will be with you soon!) I wanted to share an idea that I had and will def be turning into another Baelor fic.

It's Modern AU Westeros, the Targaryen royal family is still ruling though it's basically just a constitutional monarchy at this point. Despite the constant debate around whether monarchies are outdated and whether it should just be dissolved, people are still obsessed with the Royal Family.

Crown Prince Baelor is def a favourite. He's a silver fox, widowed, has two sons who are also super charming and kind of make people more sympathetic to the crown. He's just modern enough, cares about the environment and the people and always aims for peace, but he's also a history buff and served in the military and really cares about the important traditions of Westeros. His father (the king) is also getting sicker by the day so he handles almost all the public appearances and decision making and is basically the King in all but name.

Then in comes reader, a new young social media manager who was brought in to spice up the royal family socials and further establish their media presence while also making it accessible to the youth. You're a great addition, super smart and really creative, and you're chronically online so you're aware of all the new trends and stuff. You're also really good at striking a balance btwn keeping the royal family's dignity and elegance while still making them engaging and popular online.

You meet Baelor and you're just really sweet and fun and full of life and he loves it. He starts to show more of an interest in your work and finds excuses to hang around you. You go with him when he walks his dogs on the estate for 'business' but then you guys just yap about anything and it's almost like a date.

Then there's an intense period when celebrations and prep for the Jubilee are happening, so they give you a room at the palace so you can work as much as you want all the time, and suddenly you guys are bumping into each other in the dead of night in the kitchen bc both of you wanted a snack and didn't want to disturb anyone.

And then even more suddenly, you guys are full on making out and getting hot and heavy there until he just carries you back to his room and y'all sleep together. The next morning is sweet and lazy and you go your separate ways without talking more about what happened. Both of you really like each other, but obvi bc they're the fucking royal family, it could never be that easy.

Anyway, yada yada yada, they eventually end up getting together and dealing with the consequences bc sometimes I DO love a happy ending.

I want to be his controversially young girlfriend in every universe and every lifetime.

Also, I can def see Maekar having a huge laugh when he finds out Baelor is running around with a 20-something and he finally feels like he's found a chink in Baelor's armour, and he just scrolls through instagram at the breakfast table, reading all the fucked up headlines after it comes out and laughing his ass off.
