The romanticization of a good breakfast is real and I'm not apologizing for it.
there's something deeply grounding about starting the day with food that was made intentionally — even if it's just a bowl of granola. I've been thinking about how granola is made. the way oats and nuts and seeds are brought together with something naturally sweet, coated slowly, then baked until the whole thing transforms into something crunchy and golden and warm-smelling. it sounds almost meditative when you write it out like that. and it kind of is. whether someone made it by hand in their kitchen or a small brand made it carefully with clean ingredients — there's craft in those clusters. fibre for your gut. protein from the nuts. healthy fats from the seeds. a little natural sweetness that doesn't send your blood sugar into chaos. I think a lot about how the foods we reach for first thing in the morning set a tone for the whole day. making your breakfast a small act of care isn't silly. it's actually really wise.
