Picture it, if you will.
A filler episode of The Mandalorian that begins with an exhausted Mando returning to his ship after a job. He checks on Baby Yoda whom is safe & fast asleep in a crudely fashioned crib. Mando then goes to the cockpit and sits back with his boots propped up, pondering their next move-- and possibly some kind of flashback-- when he eventually dozes off and the scene fades out. After a while he suddenly comes to, again checking on Baby Yoda out of habit only to discover that the Child is....MISSIGN ??¿?
From there, the rest of the episode is Mando in full-blown panicking dad mode ripping apart his ship looking for the baby while calling out for him. He would go for help, except Mando knows by now he can't trust anyone. This thought only fuels his already sky-high anxiety, and he punches something out of frustration. He has to find the kid. He has to be somewhere around this damn thing.
"Come on, kid!"
It's not until towards the end that Baby Yoda is found in the most obvious place: his child seat, metal knob in hand. He coos happily at the sight of Mando, seemingly unaware of the chaos he has caused. He just knows that he has won the game.
Mando breathes the HEAVIEST, long-suffering sigh of relief. As irritated as Mando can be conveyed through a helmet, he can't be mad over the impromptu game of hide n seek. He wants to be so angry with the kid, but he can't.
Sometime later, they're in hyperdrive once more after Mando cleans up his mess. He's holding Baby Yoda in his lap as he watches the stars race by in long streaks. He then feels a pair of giant, brown eyes staring up at him and he glances down at the child. He holds a gloved finger up sternly.
"Don't do that again."
Content baby noises. Scene ends, credits roll.
