How shall we live, when we realize that we will be held responsible for the deeds of dead men, regardless of our protests against those deeds at the time, or our youth, or even non-existence at the time? Struggle against them as one may, the deeds, freely agreed to be heinous, occurred, and we will be held accountable for them regardless of how we voted or protested.
Is it simply, "well, you didn't form a successful violent insurgency and overthrow governments or assassinate leaders to prevent the deeds, so you cosigned them (and if you were a babe in arms or unborn at the time, your parents ought to have and you are blamed that they didn't)"? Does one consent to every deed one is not willing or capable of committing violence and dying to try to prevent?
