Intergenerational trauma can be a very hard thing to overcome. Sometimes we try to do better and somehow we end up falling into the same pattern as our ancestors. But what if we are getting a heavy dose of it and being challenged because we are trying to break a generational curse? Maybe the universe is trying to see if we are really determined to overcome it. Just like people are often ostracized for challenging the status quo, maybe the energy of the universe is doing this as well. But then there is intragenerational wisdom as well. Maybe the ancestors had survival tactics for these traumas and wisdom can be generated when you reflect on the mistakes they made. Most of us are first generation Americans but our families are immigrants. How they made it to a foreign country without knowing anything about it is remarkable. To learn a foreign language, make connections and learn to live a way of life other than what they are used shows us that we as humans can improvise and adapt to circumstances and our surroundings. If they were capable of that than maybe we are capable of breaking a generational curse that we know intimately. Just like we have a family history of diseases, we are susceptible to some things but we can modify our risks with our lifestyle choices. No matter how much the odds are against us, even if we fall into the maladaptive process to some degree, we can turn it around or even do the best that we can to rise above it. #intergenerationaltrauma #DNA #intergenerationalwisdom #getintouchwithyourroots 🙌🙌🙌 https://www.instagram.com/p/B1j3ij1FpoYqje41aY4ZzsHIcQzz4wMlaA4QbE0/?igshid=6n3xitni6gq3
