since english isn’t my first language, i have one specific english voice in my head, and one in my own language. Which is cool and all, i can usually switch between them pretty easily, but there’s a problem:
if i watch an american tv show the voice is american. (it’s usually american, cause there’s just so much american content) If i watch a british tv shows it will start to change to a more british accent, but this gal had to go and watch an Australian show. so now i have a stupid mix of australian and american in my head as i type these words.
it breaks my heart to not have to physical copy of lover..
Some of yall can just watch hockey live wow life really must be wild for you
People: The French will never switch to English to speak to an American
French Amazon customer support @Me during a live chat about an issue I had with my recent purchase that’s a bit beyond my ability to explain comprehensively in written French: Merci pour votre message. Vous parlez anglais? I will try to speak English.
Me: Merci beaucoup pour votre sympathique assistance.
INTERNATIONAL LIVING PROBLEMS
Me: SHADOWHUNTERS TONIGHT!! Oh wait, I'm in Europe... Guess I have to wait till Tuesday.
Inner Me: Watch the episode at 4AM and sleep though class tomorrow.
Can we please either rename central standard time or chinese standard time? I’m fighting for my life with these acronyms
Enjoy the pseudo nationalist fascism while it lasts. It's about to get way way worse.
It may be the narrative around deepfakes -- rather than the deepfakes themselves -- that most undermines election integrity.
Of course the right wing hate is using deep fakes to encouraging left wing voters to not vote. And the fucking legislation some states are working on might as well just be pro deep fake usage in elections.
People are obviously too innately gullible and generally ignorant to handle social media as it already is. We love to laugh at boomers and how stupid they are with recognizing lies and bullshit but my Gen Y friends can't tell bullshit from real off of conspiracy tiktok.
We're in trouble.
