Shadow barely managed to stop himself from sighing in relief as the sound of a new message came in.

Though after seeing it, he tensed up all over again. He slowly looked at Sonic to see Sonic looked just as surprised as him.

"Is... that us...?" Sonic asked.

Shadow gave a small nod. "It... undoubtedly. B-Baby shower...?"

They looked from the picture to each other, before looking back at the picture.

"Um..."

Shadow darted to the other side of the clearing. He made sure Sonic could still see him.

Sonic lifted a hand as he watched Shadow dart off. Sadness swept over his gaze, before he sighed and looked back at the ring. A smile forced its way onto his face. "Looks like we might have missed it by about... 200 years." His laugh was cold. "But... what is this? Are you... other versions of us?

"And you're happy together?"

If it helps, I can confidently say that, since neither you or Sonic can Physically Carry A Child, regardless of your DNA, it’s safe to assume that neither of you are pregnant.

If your Sonic is anything like mine, he’ll like this. When he wakes up, could you give it to him? It’s a lavender-scented quill conditioner! It’ll help relax him, too.

I know. I told them that you cannot get pregnant. But I think they just enjoy sending strange messages. As for your message, alternate universe fox, I actually believe that I can carry a child. I was designed to. But since we have not…done that…I cannot be either.

*Sonic accepts the conditioner and smiles, setting it down to make a heart with his hands for the camera in thanks*
