thinking abt a zombie au where simon meets nurse!reader who gets mad at the task force for killing infected. they all think she's fucking crazy but she's not only been locked up in a hospital with no living to talk to since the beginning but she's immune and doesn't know the bites turn people. she's been treating several infected like sick patients the whole time thinking they just need treatement

simon having a blast when he introduces deaf!reader to the rest of 141 cos not only do they get on great with price & gaz, they cannot for the life of them read soap's lips bc of his accent and soap's pouting the whole time abt it

cat hybrid / shifter reader who gets dropped in the laps of 141.

the team thinking youre standoffish and cold and most of them try everything to get you to warm up to them.

gaz and johnny competing for your affection and both getting extremely frustrated that you dont react to them, almost actively avoiding the both of them as they don't realise the cat toys they gift you are downright demeaning.

price who mostly (and sadly) gives you space bc you're so skittish around him, ears pressed all the way back whenever he enters the room. he still keeps snacks on him in hopes you'll get used to him but you always snatch the treats and leave.

the three of them later find you in the break room with simon mindlessly flipping tv channels as he plays with the ends of your hair where your head lays on his thigh as you're fast asleep, tail twitching every so often.

the boys stand there gagged as they're hit with the realisation simon has somehow become your favourite without them knowing.

the three of them start competitively tryna win you over but don't realise you're close with simon bc in the beginning he mostly ignored you & let you do whatever you want.

in the first few days you would slink into simons office when the rest of the barracks were too loud and simon would spend hours filing over-due reports ins silence while you were sitting on the floor, tying his shoelaces into different shapes.

simon never minds when you snake certain foods off his plate. he didnt like those anyways and hates wasting food, its a win-win.

the first mission he came back from since you joined them on base, simon returned to find you asleep on the floor under his bed. he'd have to ask how you got into his barracks later but for now nothing looks out of place and he's too tired to care. he just throws his blanket under with you and falls into bed, asleep in seconds.

it goes on like this for weeks when he finally starts indulging in you. getting extras of your favourites in the mess hall for you. the bottom drawer of his desk gets filled with fidget toys and colouring books. he sneaks a few extra blankets and pillows to leave under his bed (eventually you move to the other empty bed in the room and then his own).

so maybe he gets a liiiiiitle smug when he starts being the first one you look for whenever 141 comes back to base, and maybe he smiles under his mask at the way your tail sways and ears perk up once you spot him.

"doing your skincare routine with ghost!" im sorry but u can't convince me that man doesn't have the most sensitive skin ever with an annoying routine

because of his eczema he has the world's driest hands and skin in general, but most lotions cause a flare up

cystic acne at his big age, he's tried and failed to use different cleansers but anything stronger than basic & unscented and he's breaking out double time

simon has mild rosacea that flares up with stress and considering his job... just red all the time

you tried to do face masks with him once and his face was red and blotchy for four whole days after

cannot even look at anything with witch hazel without breaking out in mild hives

bullying him into doing a cureology skin test to see what would work best

you hust dont want to see your poor boy suffer with just his skin conditions ):

finally convincing him too see a dermatologist, you'd wonder how he hasnt until now but if simon is anything it's stubborn

having the idea to use mild, sensitive, baby washes and lotions on his poor skin

and it works!

simon would feel so silly about it, but you reassure him constantly

being stubborn abt it and making sure he's consistent with his care and flare up orevention. its all worth it to see him start getting more confident as he sees the reaults

finally being able do your skincare routines together in your bathroom

(only after you've swapped out all your products for nonscented variants, and gotten rid of anything with too harsh chemicals)

yours involving typical skincare steps and his needing 8 additional steps and both allergy & acne medication but if it keeps your man happy and healthy you'll do it forever

reader's part of the 141 that gets recruited to go on a sketchy mission with not a lotta intel but its from a trusted source so off they go to a mansion in the middle of nowhere to meet with an exiled head of a mob family with a multitude of connections and info he'll only provide in person.
